I would consider each and every one a potential top tenner except Beggar's Farm.

My 10 today, excluding the big boys ( APP, TAAB) Baker St Muse Dark Ages With You There to Help Me Seal Driver Budapest Change of Horses European Legacy Acres Wild Enter The Uninvited Velvet Green This list makes me smile. Change of Horses ?? is overrated by you. This is not Tull. Enter The Uninvited gets a Tull pass.

Only redeeeming thing about Truck Stop Runner is how some of the DNA of that song found it's way into 'Give Till it Hurts'.

So why no love for Beggar's Farm, steelmonkey?I just love it's bluesy feel! I agree, Sherwood. Beggar's Farm is a great tune. I hated - and I mean HATED This Was when I first heard it. Over the years I developed an appreciation for it. I think I like every song, though I tend to lose interest in Cat's Squirrel or Serenade. I even like It's Breaking Me Up, which I think might be the only Tull song wherein Ian says "oh bab-eh". Correct me if I'm wrong.
Query: Is that Mick singing Move On Alone? It sounds like it could be Ian, but it also sounds like it might not be.
I realize I could look this up, but I'd much rather get the answer from a living human being.
I think this forum may have created a monster. I foresee a thousand posts by 2016.

I naturally have favorite songs, but are they good, or bad? I don't think so... It's just my personal meaning. Personally I like Inside a lot... but the list of personal favorites is really endless when it comes to Ian Andersen songs... "This is not love" is by the way one of the few Ian Anderson songs that I don't even like to think about... I literarily hate that song... but that's just my personal perception... Oh, yes... I just love "North Sea Oil!" Here's North Sea Oil. My lord and lady, for your entertainment!.....

Big Mick is indeed the vocalist on "Move On Alone". I have, and will always appreciate This Was. Those interested in the album per se will find some interesting and informed discussion on its own thread at jethrotull.proboards.com/thread/1807/ - happy reading

Lots of lyrical clichés in this tune but whom is singing back up vocals ? A stitch in time saves nine. Said Cock Robin from the wall. It's an early bird catches the worm. Show a little pride before you fall.

Lots of lyrical clichés in this tune but whom is singing back up vocals ? I was at Maison Rouge studios with Ian when he recorded some backing vocals for Maddy Prior's "Woman In The Wings" album with Shona Anderson and Cherry Gillespie (Pans People) singing. I didn't stay for all the session but I suspect that these two ladies sang on "A Stitch In Time", too Cheers 10cars

Jack Frost and the Hooded Crow. Now that's another superb song, but why was that song not on the original release of Broadsword and the Beast? Reject Watching Me Watching You,which is a decent song, but it doesn't sit well amongst the acoustic and rock numbers that Ian wrote for this album, and replace it with Jack Frost!Interestingly was Jack Frost ever performed live does one know? Now I think about it ditto for Jack-A-Lynn!Surely this should have been on the original album, but their lies the problem! Now which song could have been removed for Jack-A-Lynn? Thank God for the cd where we can at least enjoy these bonus tracks, where as if we were stuck in the eighties we'd only get to here the original tracks without the bonuses!Which is rather frightening to think about! Or is it? Too Many Too anyone?
