If that 2 disk set includes the 24/96 quality, that would be nice. Hearing that extra depth of sound quality can reveal extras that in the studio seem obviously part of the plan, but on CD have in some cases been processed out. Anyone who's been through this last 20 years of having the first CD issue of a great album sound lousy, and then a later CD reissue sound much better......or of a remastered album sound much better after it was remixed (makes lots of sense), then digging into the detail at 24/96, for some songs with lots of detail, could be terrific.

Looks like this will be the generic design for the flyers in the States and most probably the eventual basis for any bootleg artwork.

Lets set ourselves a wee challenge here and try and solve the question as to the exact location of the album cover. The image may well have been enhanced ie the tower on the US flyer however we can have a stab at it. Anyone who has a knowledge of vegetation might be able to identify the shrubs and plants. So far it's been suggested Iceland or Skye don't really think Indiana or Cornwall. It would be good if we could reproduce the exact spot......and then photoshop each of us in the exact same spot Skye i57.images obliterated by tinypic/1z6h7qf.jpg[/IMG] Emmanuel Coupe Iceland has many mystical canyons andrekosslick.deviantart.com/art/misty-iceland-canyon-attempt-1-356059109

Damn...tickets for my local H.E. show went on sale while I was , to quote Jimi Hendrix, way down south in Mexico...so i got row 'Q' on the floor...what's that ? 17th row way over on the side...so I'll bring cash for possible upgrade that day and hope for another near enough show to be announced while I'm able to strike at best seats. Time to consider a well timed visit to friends or family in LA, Portland, Denver or Seattle.

Hey Mr. Monkey, I was able to upgrade in Asheville for front row in 2012. Always seems to be some good seats available. Due to my fortunate position, I was the one Ian looked at (right in the eye) when he recited "Might you have been a man of courage..." It was crazy weird.

trojmiasto.gazeta.pl/ and translated by google Feast of rock: Fish and Jethro Tull will play near SlupskRoman Daszczyński 25/02/2014, Updated: 25/2/2014 7:38 We already know who will perform on the first day of the Festival Rock Legend. This Jethro Tull and Fish - former leader of the group Marillion. They will play in the evening on July 4 in the Valley of Charlotte near Slupsk. Both performers come from the UK, have gained international acclaim due to motherboards kept in the so-called mainstream. progressive rock. - Three years we tried to arrive Jethro Tull , but it was difficult to adjust the terms - says Miroslaw Wawrowski, the organizer of the festival Rock Legend. - The team to be with us in almost complete composition that game for a long time, the charismatic leader Ian Anderson at the helm. Fish from Marillion do not need to remind anyone. A few months ago released the acclaimed album "A Feast of Consequences'. In 2010, on the stage Charlotta Valley Marillion already occurred, so I'm glad that I finally managed to invite the former leader of the group. Members of both teams will live, like the stars of previous editions of the Festival Rock Legend, right at the amphitheater - the Hotel Charlotta Valley. Wawrowski I do not want to reveal the name of the event, who will play the day after them - on July 5. - In order not to jinx it, because talks are ongoing - explains event organizer. - It has to be a really big star. A year ago, thanks to Santana concert itself suspended the bar very high and we try to maintain the level. Beer and Polish girls group Jethro Tull celebrated his greatest successes in the 70s, but it still has many fans. Renowned website "Prog Archives" - which ranks one hundred best albums of progressive rock - in the second position places the album "Thick as a Brick", right after "Close to the Edge" band Yes, and before discs giants like Genesis and Pink Floyd . Jethro Tull after the fall of the communist repeatedly toured in Poland. In August 2007 they played at the Forest Opera in Sopot with a full audience. They gave a great performance, yet made no secret of sympathy for our country. For keyboard Roland zalepili part of the letter R, so that it was "Poland". Ian Anderson said into the microphone a few words about the beautiful Polish girls, for whom the sześćdziesiątek is unfortunately too old. Also praised the Polish beer, which - though no longer young age - still can not afford. Anderson really liked the location of the Forest Opera in the trees, the team could not so I do not reach for the songs from the album "Songs from the Wood". The organizers of this year's concert are convinced that the forest in the Valley of Charlotte will be for Jethro Tull inspiration as good as the one in Sopot. album that ... hats off Fish - former leader of the band Marillion - it's a great star 80s After leaving the band in 1988 began a solo career. He has worked with Tony Banks of Genesis and Peter Hamill of Van der Graaf Generator. Similarly to Jethro Tull over the last 20 years in Poland frequented often. Enjoys in our country, a host of loyal fans, who include created its Polish website. Fish's solo album from last year - "A Feast of Consequences" - many of them set into raptures. Mark, one of the fans, writes in his review: "Without embarrassment to say that U2 did not soar above Achtung Baby, above Metallica And Justice For All, Peter Gabriel above Us, Waldemar Lysiak above Best, this list can be long haul. Sometimes, however, sometimes unusual. often unexpectedly, when we cease to hope, the statement >> waiting for that record, write, paint a still something better << sounds like waiting for a miracle, a miracle happens. miracle did happened in September 2013. Fish recorded an album absolutely sensational. Unless Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors is a very good album, but yet written off after Marillion, Fellini Days and 13th Star are scraping plates for the world championship, then A Feast of Consequences no borders on this skill . This is masterly. Hats off ".

Lets set ourselves a wee challenge here and try and solve the question as to the exact location of the album cover. I was convinced originally it was a distant view of The Storr/south end of the Trotternish ridge on Skye. Probably taken from the moorland across the middle part of Skye, to the north of the Cuillin. And the other publicity pictures look very much like they are based on pictures either taken in the vicinity of, or inspired by, the Old Man of Storr or the Quirang But having spent 2 hours looking at every available picture on the internet, from every possible angle, I cannot get the features of the cover picture to match up with The Storr or anywhere else on the Trotternish ridge. So it could be another, similar, hill profile almost anywhere. Or I may simply be unable to find a picture from the right angle ...... And worst of all, I now suffer an overwhelming, all-consuming, soul-burning, sleep-destroying desire to visit Skye again, not having been there for years .....

I would like to find out where it is and hopefully it doesn't turn out to as an elusive and lengthy process as finding out about the Christmas album covers whereabouts. It was much more straightforward and easier finding out about Aqualung and B&TB covers! For you www.skyeboatlodge.co.uk/

On a new topic within the H.E. album topic, what do you think the odds are the Ian Anderson will use a Guo flute on that recording, for some flute parts? And if so, if the album cover doesn't label specifically which flute models were used, do you think we'll be able to tell the difference between the Guo and a silver flute? I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference, so I'm interested to see if Ian thinks the flute's playability and tone warrant it being on the album.

Remiss of me futureshock - I was going to reply earlier. I think your best bet is an answer from Ash as he seems to be one of the regular flute players here, unless of course, anyone knows different

No truer words spoken. I think he did his last solo album, TAAB2, a real disservice linking it to a highly-rated classic (highly rated even by notorious prog-haters like Rolling Stone Magazine). I think the concepts of the album (and the hired band behind him) would have been better served without the miserable Gerald Bostock mewling over his misbegotten life (and it got downright melancholy, pathetically so). I identified with Gerald as a lad, but he became so foreign, even alien, in the last effort -- I am on the far side of 50, and I am having a blast, thank you very much . The new album features Bostock again, but from a poetic angle, not an autobiographic rehashing that completely lacked the original album's humor and out-and-out fiery performances (particularly from John Evan and Barriemore Barlow, who were outstanding, and the grand ending with David Palmer's brief but superb string orchestration). I hope the humor returns. Ian is at his best when he tinges his sarcasm and cynicism with ribald wit (like on TAAB, APP, parts of Aqualung and Minstrel in the Gallery). Otherwise, his pronouncements can become overbearing. I am in basic agreement with your comment. I have gone on record as not being overly excited in nearly every way with TAAB2. I have also made it to the late '50's and have found the overall context of the TAAB2 lyrics to be a bit tepid and or, lacking in imagination outside the obvious. That, in part, is one of the reasons it did so little for me. I found myself for the first time to be largely uninspired by the lyrics; a first for any time I've set my ears to IA or JT's sound. Instrumentally, it didn't really have the 'drive' I have come used to, certainly from any JT disk, and, being that in title at least, it has the reference or lineage to TAAB1, I at least was expecting the 'drive' aspect to be there - even if it possessed different a different 'sound signature'. In short, I found it to be the closest sound that IA/JT I've heard that I would easily call 'pedestrian'. Too, the last character I was wondering about was Bostock. I would say, that taking one aspect or one life path and write about it's trials and tribulations as part of a musical story with a resultant lesson would be more interesting to me, or even a singular, broad overview with some wit. byte, and wisdom would be welcome. In short, again, something with a bit more meaningful imagination. Based on what IA has said in his recent PR jargon about migrating homo-sapiens, if his attitude is a precursor, I hope he is planning on sticking his 'neck-out' and saying something with some 'punch'. Here's to waiting....

The sad thing for me is I'll be buying Homo Erraticus online and not at the record store where the guy who owned it ( and who was a Jethro Tull fan) died suddenly of a heart attack a few years ago. How I'd love to walk in his shop and buy the album on April 14th it would mean so much more.

In Calgary, I'll get it from a store, but there is no option now except a very coldish chain store to buy it from, where the staff aren't there for the music, but just to stack shelves, mop and run the till. Why do we live on Earth? To enslave ourselves to machines? Why sure, buy a Ford and listen to the FM radio go bang, bang, bang, like the steel press in the factory. On another same topic, I hope Homo Britannicus sells lots of copies as a spinoff to the new album, just because the human brain needs to go find adventure in reality. How about the Brit Tull fans starting a hiking club and each summer have a 3-day hike where some ancient humanoid trekked across Britain trying to figure out where the best blues pubs were so he could buy his babe some of that sweet Druid ale.

What a fantastic idea! and I'm serious I'm planning the whole thing in my head. It compliments my idea ages ago for the Tull themed B&B. That idea stumbled a bit when I asked Ian, a couple of times, for the initial deposit however the restraining order he took out is nearly over so I could try again. I love trekking, I love maps and I love Tull - what better an idea! I seriously think someone will open a type of shop that harks back to the record shops of old. There's plenty of us around who would would like to see it. There's vintage everything on some High Streets - why not that? It would be on the Tull Wandering Trek

Those that are still in existence are very few and far between and should be cherished and not allowed to go out of business. I somehow can't get used to mp3s/downloads and I miss the album covers where you could actually read the text; TAAB is a great example.
