I have an exclusive - via my brain cell - that Ian will do a sequel to SFTW. A sequel which will focus on the folky, foresty side to his music. This will allow him to feature guest musicians, both vintage and perhaps some of the rich new blood of the Folk scene. He is also toying with the idea of having different settings other than Merry England and will be heavily influenced by Iceland, Scotland and the music of Catalonia.
Oh and he's not waiting for the forty year gap either.

Been there, got the video and book together with the hot air balloon and T shirt so now I'd like a Jethro Tull album with Martin back in the fold.

Which reminds me, Martin was on like four radio shows here and there in the UK this week, did anyone hear him? I never saw the A New Day interview and I think one in the record collectors magazine, Goldmine I think is the name, and other than a quote or two I have seen taken from interviews, the only speculation of any rift or disagreement has come from fans, who separate the TAAB venture from the Tull material Ian has been playing in his solo ventures, (re apparently its ok to play 40 other things from the catalogue which originally had Martin but not TAAB) which constitute at minimum a quarter of his work in the past 10 plus years. Not saying there is not one, on the other hand Martin seems an awfully easy going fellow, though I doubt little other than his family is as close to his heart as Jethro Tull, its been his life's work. And without looking were I to peruse the Tull page I have zero doubt both Martin and Doane are still listed where they have been. And Doane came to a SoCal show, probably Long Beach.

Martin's quote in 'Prog' was: " I have not turned my back on Tull...I'll be ready for the call when it comes'.
