Bit worried that this makes the last three posts on this section all from me... Surely someone else is 'doing stuff'? My old 1978 'outfit' are gonna do a reunion-type gig and album in the new year - and we are currently working towards that goal - but meantime, we were persuaded to do an hour (even though we weren't ready yet!) at our local festival. I didn't realise a punter sneaked in at the side of the small venue and took some footage on a wee handy-cam! The built-in mic does no real favours to the sound, we were behind an arch so he got no sound from the (rather loud!) PA out front, only from the nearest stage monitor... But 'balance' issues aside - it might be worth youse having a listen, I thought... youtu.be/whjAYrMiG30

Way back I posted that my old band Luigi Ana Da Boys from circa 1978 would be doing a 'revisited' gig. Well - illness and operations got in the way for a bit, but last Saturday we finally got there! The project has taken all my time these past few weeks (keeping me off this board for a start!) but we packed the venue (some 275 strong) and had a big stage, some 'proper' pro lighting projections and effects and a monster PA sound... the whole thing got going with a playlist over the system of so very many tracks of that era... many you'd all like, I'm sure (Tull, Wishbone, Trower, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Procul Harum, Camel - and so on) which set the atmosphere perfectly... then a 5 min long 'intro piece of build-up music' to see us merge onto the stage and start - real old-school - but great fun! I'll post some images and mebbe some vid clips too, later - if anyone shows any interest! ;o) The old fans turned out and did us proud.. came from Scotland/Kent/Bristol/all over, in fact... Bless! We (specially me!) made enough bloopers to clearly show how nervous we were after more than 30 years off that tricky material! But it was a resounding success - going on the response and emails and facebook 'return' - not on my ego! ;o) After a month in which I saw my heroes Mart Barre and then Andy Latimer in concert, it was real grand to play that role for so many of the old faithful on a real stage with all the real fixtures and fittings. Relieved it's all over - cept they all want a rematch when the double CD is ready! Lemme know if anyone wants to hear more... HFA

Love it Duncan!! Post more. Did you ever play in Scotland like the Glasgow/Edinburgh pub circuit? All these bands are getting back together and thanks to the wonderful internet are composing together from far and wide around the globe (where some of them had to flee after some bad gigs in some weird pubs) My ex's band who at that time were playing intricate jazz chordy rock type 10 minute songs were booked to play a Friday night in a working mens club in some wee village in Scotland where the large, local crowd were expecting a night of much boozing and "Hi Ho Silver Lining" and the Birdy Song - if they could get off their chairs. I have never been more scared sitting in an audience in my whole life. Talk about not going down well!! I'll post some of my ex's band members performing but not him - I'm not giving him airplay

Still no sign of us getting back the filmed footage - well it was nearly two and a half hours worth of music! I guess the guys aint got the amount of spare time they thought they had! A few lo res pix (off a mobile, one of them) came via emails - at least you might get an idea (albeit out of focus in some cases!) of the lighting projection that was happening! More will follow - eventually! Sorry for the delay...
