Back when there was no email or broadband internet access, I suspect that in common with most JT fans we all used to send off letters to interested parties concerning either the lack of Tull on the TV/radio, record companies enquiring about the latest release and to the musicians themselves. Found this from Mick Abrahams, when he was still plying his trade as a financial advisor, concerning the second of the JT Conventions.

Back in the mid eighties, Bob Harris (he of The Old Grey Whistle Test) lost his job on BBC Radio 1 due to reorganisation and the search for young and hip presenters, and entered a sort of "wilderness years" trip and found himself presenting a half hour programme on the LBC News station in London. It mainly concentrated on genres of music and specific record labels and was a gem of a programme surrounded by dross. Shortly afterwards he joined the late and lamented GLR (Greater London Radio) and from there to BBC Radio 2. It was during the run of this LBC programme that I wrote to him about featuring the Island and Chrysalis record labels and Tull in particular, and this was his reply.
