I think it was mostly down to where one was seated as all the entrances that i can speak to from 72 were pretty grand. Had $h1te seats for the play, and the first night of the War Child tour not so good either, but the second night, for a show that had been sold out for months we went 10 minutes before the show and got third row center. Hope there is no one here who will be unsettled by the notion but I know we had a head full of some psychedelic as well, mda i think. Not only was that the best opening of a show for me, the Wind Up>PPlay bit, but was literally 10 of the best minutes of my life, pure adrenaline and astonishment. I remember looking over at my best buddy a few feet away while it was going on, he just happened to be in that area of twenty thousand, had not come with me, just one of those moments where no words needed to be exchanged, just electric smiles of pure joy, could not possibly have been more entertained if barbara eden or bettie page had landed in my lap ready to do my bidding, tull was hotter than that, maybe even by far. It was that lover of the black and white part of play, and it just seemed like a mighty force was being tossed around as a plaything back and forth across the stage with Ian conducting and reveling in it as the one eyed pirate delighting in his construct. Not sure how anyone ever could possibly have been more entertaining. Hey thanks Tommie, did not mean to mention in terms of any sort of talent alongside Miles, John Lennon or Ian, but he is the sole figure out of that punk crowd who I find to be an entertaining and engaging individual in interview terms, particularly over the past 15 years when I believe signifigant maturity has entered his being, he always did have a strong if unnecessarily condescending wit, it is a trait that sits well with no one, although miles comes close, but if u look closer he really is not condescending, he will just tell u flat out that white people often don't get some stuff, but u do notice that he frequently going all the way back to gerry mulligan in 49, hired white people into his band. Just spent so many wasted hours in all these allegedly happening punk and new wave bars where people like bowie and prince would show up, or saw the police with like 8 other people at lucky number in 79, while i did not quite hate it, finally i just knew nothing of real substance was happening, but in those places there really was a lot of condesencion, while cannot say i never had fun, for years i was a fish out of water, and most, or at least alot, of my trips to see tull(do u still like those guys ray?) or jazz people were done solo.

I think the first ten minutes of war Child tour...wind up/play excerpt, also experienced with chemical help and the adreniline of dashing to el paso from denver to do it, are probably my high points ever, ever, ever at a concert or otherwise....I mean....when i saw passion play live, except for two bits they played on the radio ( overseer overture was one) it was all unfamiliar...but the wind up/play start of the 75 tour was too hot to describe, though Tullist comes close...
