A big hello to everyone, and Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating it! Just wanted to let you know that I've recently started a small blog with Tull album reviews ("This Was" added today); so, yes, this is a horrible act of self-promotion, almost a spam thread ^_^ But, seriously, my original idea was posting the reviews on a Jethro Tull forum itself; the problem is that things get messy that way, lots of people add spam and/or off-topic comments and it often just becomes a generic discussion where the reviews themselves get lost in a sea of other stuff. That's why the blog. Not because I want hundreds of hits on my own website or anything of a kind and in order to prove that, I won't post a link now, but will simply ask you: are you interested in reading those reviews? If yes, I'll add the link. Some more horrible self-promotion I worked in a music press for almost a decade, interviewing, reviewing, etc. However, this time around I decided to apply a bit less "scolastic" approach to writing, so you might find some of those reviews overtly harsh, or overtly enthusiastic, depending on the album in question. My intention is absolutely not to go Mark Prindle or George Stratosin on them (even if I like their wacky approach), just to talk about Tull music as if I was in a bar with friends, instead of doing encyclopedic entires of sorts. That's it, let me know if you're interested and I'll add a link. Cheers to all!

And don't worry about any spam or similar - we know who the offenders are in that respect and get rid of them so as not to annoy the genuine members of this well respected forum. Cheers Maddog
