i agree with some former posts about never wanting to hear aqualung or LB from tull in a concert again. there are quite a few songs which i dont believe they've ever played or rarely done so which i'd love to hear in a concert. so in no particular order is my wish list:-
mountain men cup of wonder salamander one white duck silver river turning pibroch (full song) flying dutchman raising steam slow marching band lap of luxury rainbow blues acres wild rover

On that basis if Locomotive Breath was dropped as a encore, what classic Tull song would make a good replacement to finish off the evening?

back door angels is a good closer...maybe not classic enough...wind up is perfect, really...or the last few minutes of brick...realistically, from the list above...you might hear one white duck or salamander acoustic someday...and way outside chance of acres wild...the rest, I'm afraid, are longer than longshots..

Can we at least start the show with these songs before they get much older.
It All Trickles Down Spiral Wicked Windows El Niño Bends Like A Willow The Dog-ear Years A Gift Of Roses
Still waiting: bad blood running in close families. I laughed like any child - although you might find that strange and Christmas was my favourite holiday.

Spiral, when they played it for a tour or two, was pretty good live...better than 'hunt by numbers', i thought....That cool non-solo in the middle of Spiral came out good live whereas hunt by numbers sounds like a deep purple out-take. bends like a Willow live would be so nice....on par with Velvet green, Acres Wild and lost in crowds....but could they reproduce the delicate drum sounds that sound like mast riggings in the wind onstage?

Hi everybody. I'm also fed up up with hearing Aqualung & LB to finish & also think that Bouree should be rested. "Bungle in the Jungle" doesn't cut it live either. I reckon a storming finish would be Back Door Angels, the fast section of Wind Up & ending with Black Sunday.I know vocally it's tricky but I'd settle for an instrumental/vocal mix! I've taken the liberty of posting a set list I'd love to hear under that topic. Cheers.

Good point...the instrumental Black Sunday outro they used for a few years was great!!!! Black Sunday...as an opener, closer or mid-set surprise would be sooo cooooool.

Welcome to the Jethro Tull Form vanini and look forward to reading many more of your posts. Cheers Maddog
