You buy a ticket to a Tull concert. Tull is rolling along and then plays a song you figure they'd be better off dropping from the set list. What are the songs from the established recordings that you don't want to see done in concert? (please avoid the recent, unrecorded new songs heard in Tull concerts, as it's a little unfair to include them as yet).
My suggestion: Requiem (MITG) Reason: relies on real strings as accompaniment, synths wouldn't cut it

Locomotive Breath and Aqualung They are sooooo boring nowadays. But - hang on - I always go to the loo while the band is playing the songs because there is no queue

Agree with Locomotive Breath and Aqualung - When I listen to the Aqualung album these days I tend to skip them.
Oh look out...

Call me an old fuddy duddy but I still love to hear Aqualung & Locomotive Breath at concerts. If I could remove one song from Tull's set list it would be Fat Man. "Won't waste my time feeling sorry for him"

"Won't waste my time feeling sorry for him" Understandable. I could get crushed for saying this: From my viewpoint I'm not interested in any Tull tune before Thick As A Brick in concert. Stepped out on a new horizon -

I'm willing to agree that it would be nice to see a Tull gig with nothing pre-Brick..I mean, most of the Stand Up songs have been played to death and the This Was songs are not the cream of the catalogue.....I'd give a pass to 'with you there to help me' and 'wonderin' aloud/again.
Thing is...every time i complain about the smae old, same old war horses....they spiff something up enough to make it interesting...everytime they star bouree i groan with ennui...but by the end I'm impressed...the My God of ian's last year solo did the same. Absolute wastes of time include: Serenade and some of the more horrific instrumentals like urine-ology and Grimmeli's cement...I know there needs to be a balance of vocals with instrumentals...but why not do instrumentals of cool, older songs like Pussy Willow or Pibroch or any of a million songs that would be fun to hear...like instrumental sections of brick/play?

I'd quite happily do without Bouree/Fat Man/Serenade to a Cuckoo/Too Old To Rock‘n‘Roll. Love the tunes/songs but over the years they've been played to death imo.

The four songs Maddog listed are all on my enough is enough list and I've heard My Sunday Feeling enough, as well.....and throw in a 'no thanks' to water carrier and hunt by numbers...

There's only one Tull song I can do without in concert, or anywhere else - Too Old To Rock & Roll Too Young To Die. Never could stand that song right from the beginning when they first played it on TV way back when. Other than that it just seems a shame that with a back catalogue which is pretty much second to none the same stuff tends to keep coming up....
