I gave this beer a try at the weekend and I have to say this silky dark beer is now officially recommended.

My second oldest daughter (of 4 girls, oh my) is 10 today, and I'm all sorts of Irish in my background... it'll have to be Guinness tonight. I'd say darn, but really it's YUM!

It's amazing what you find on the WWW. I was looking for a beer with a Tull connection to rival Jim's discovery and I found this one............ Thanks to Jim (jtull 007) for sending me this larger image of this beer label. So of course I had to look up Walter Tull who I found was a First World War hero who was the first black officer in the British army and the first black outfield professional footballer. Oh, and I share the same birthday but not the same year. Walter Tull
Walter Tull, the grandson of slaves, started life in a Methodist orphanage but went on to enjoy a highly successful football career playing for Northampton Town and Tottenham Hotspur. He was also the first black officer in the British Army as well as the first black officer to lead white troops into battle in the First World War. For his bravery, he was recommended the Military Cross and died a hero in the last Battle of the Somme in 1918 aged 29.

A brave man indeed.
On 25 March, 1918, Walter Tull was killed by machine gun fire while trying to help his men retreat. www.waltertull.com/the_walter_tull_story.html
Phil Greenway, from Great Oakley Brewery, has brewed a beer to celebrate Walter Tull www.northamptonchron.co.uk/news/community/walter-tull-celebrated-by-great-oakley-brewery-s-new-beer-1-4861058 An award-winning brewery has created a new beer to celebrate legendary Northampton Town player and British Army officer Walter Tull.
Tiffield-based Great Oakley Brewery has brewed the beer, called Walter Tull, which is a 4.0% amber gold ale brewed with three different hops.
The beer will be distributed to local pubs in the next few weeks, and the brewery will also be asking customers to sign the e-petition, which calls on the Government to posthumously award Mr Tull the Military Cross he was recommended for.
Mr Tull was the first black outfield player in English football’s top flight and the first black soldier to become an infantry officer in the British Army.
The former Cobblers and Tottenham Hotspur player was killed in action in France in March 1918. He was cited for his ‘gallantry and coolness’ under fire, but never received the medal.

Along with Watneys Red Barrel, this stuff rates as awful. Transpose the 1st syllable of each word and that is what we called it.
Here's another candidate for worst beer ever.

I've just read that in the middle ages in Britain beer was drunk with every meal. Up to now I've skipped breakfast but that could all change soon.

Nice! That's like the old Guinness posters! --Ron-- And it's a great piece of art! I remember taking a long walk once in the 70's... It was a very, very hot summer day... This poster hang beside a store, and I just had to buy something to drink...

I was out last night to see a local band play at a nearby pub and this is the beer I was drinking too much of. A very tasteful dark brew that I strongly recommend.
