I tried a pint of this beer the other day and it's a lovely dark beer with a nice taste of bitter hops. I've just searched for the brewery and it's only 12 miles down the road. I wonder if I could get a part time tasting job when I retire. blackpawbrewery.co.uk/

I see Status Quo have launched there own beer. Now it's time we had our own Tull beer. Over to you Ian. If Ian ever brought out his own beer what do you think He'd call it? What about Aqualung Ale?

Well if we look back on this thread there's a few Tullish brews already brewing However name wise; Witches Promise - with a high alcohol content. My Sunday Feeling - high alcohol content. Cup Of Wonder.

Purely as a tasting exercise so I could report back to the beer drinking Tull fans here, I've tried out this very fine dark brown beer tonight. It has a good malt taste with a subtle hint of hops and at 4.3 ABV it's well worth trying a couple of pints. So cheers to one and all.

Had a evening beer daily in Mexico...cold, fresh, no preservatives in the beer they keep for themselves so much better taste and slight variation.....Yummy Pacifico, Yummy Modelo, Yummy Tecate.

2 years ago in salt lake city Epic Brewery opened its doors producing a full line of full straight beers and ales. Micro brewing is not New to Utah but these guys knocked it out of the park! Everything you could desire from lite ales to stouts that will curls your hair.

I'm off to Croatia in a couple of months time so as part of my essential holiday planning I've been checking out the Croatian beer. Here's a couple I've come up with. Any advice would be welcomed. Apparently this is 7.3%. I promise not to drink too much of this one but I'll probably give it a try just to help the Croatian economy.

Full straight is the operative word when it comes to Epic. 5% up to 13.5%. Gas station/grocery store beer here is 3.2 and generally taste very watered down. I made the mistake of drinking my first Epic brews like I was downing Coors lite! Big mistake!

After a few of those you won't really care If Polish beer is anything to go by, you should have a decent holiday - as seen through an alcoholic haze.

Talking of beer I have to champion 2 local brews Greene Kings Abbot Ale if kept well is nectar, and of course Old Speckled Hen but only from bottles as the pump brew has been toned down, and if you can find OSHs stronger brother Old Crafty Hen,but then going for cider you cant better Old Rosie as my wife will vouch has strange effects on the imbiber(ie me)

Was a regular "guest" ale at the Royal Standard in Croydon and I used to partake often and have to leave the car in the pub car park and walk home after an evening's p1ss up. Those were the days.

A beer and a cider that I've never tasted both in the same post. I just love Abbot ale and Old Speckled Hen but I've never tasted Old Crafty Hen or Old Rosie. My mission will be to track these two down and when I sober up I'll post my report.

Pity I can't buy it direct from there But www.greenekingshop.co.uk/online-shop/bottled-beer/old-crafty-hen/
