Man, to be sad is a mad way to be, but that makes me sad. I was feeling sad the last time Tull was in town because Ian had to stretch for the almost silent voice. It's been said that Ian's voice is not too bad sounding in the studio. Stop touring and save that unique voice for the studio. There must be an addiction to touring here. Or maybe money speaks.

+++ Yikes! Too old to rock, too young to croak. I hate special guests at Tull concerts - They usually lead to a shorter Tull performance. Molson Canadian Amphitheatre's summer lineup - Toronto, Ontario - Jethro Tull June 18 with very special guests Procol Harum www.torontosun.com/entertainment/music/2010/03/08/13161271-qmi.htmlMolson Canadian Amphitheatre's summer lineup: www.marketwire.com/press-release/....iew-1128599.htmThe last time at this venue the Tull set was cut short because of the opening act Saga. The price of our tickets is not going to Procol Harum, and for the first time in a long line of Toronto Tull shows, not to Tull, as we're not going. (sarcastic) I'm sure his pocket book will take the hit for the price of two admission tickets plus the t-shirts, pins and no stinkin' badges that I picked up for everyone who requested such... ;D I mean no harm. Then again think of all the seats we're selling because of posting. hehehe The Tull legacy begs for our respect. Let Ian trod on...as he chased the money-men away. I wanna be no Saboteur. Be no, be no Saboteur. Peace starts with you. LOL Adding to: to be sad is a mad way to be.

Here's a video I came across of JT. playing "Cross eyed Mary" in Dortmund, sounds good to me. What do the rest of you think? And what do you think of the venue?

Your welcome Maddog! What do you think of the venue? Looks new and as if the audience is above the performers but I guess it's just that the "stalls" were not in view.

How telling! 1)Ian can't even SAY the 2-syllable "Ma-ry"! at the start withot his voice croaking! Listen carefully.
2) My friend was there for a different gig. Said it is no more than a f******* High School gym-type place.
Ian'll play anywhere. What a weird, sad genius ha-been, due to the insatiable lust for money.
Just a guess: Shona has a lot to do with Ian's downfall? She's 8 years younger, was born into tremendous wealth (look it up) & Ian always felt he robbed the cradle anyway. Just a thought.

Bunker - thanks for finding and posting the vids from Monza ;D Certainly looks an outstanding venue. Certainly beats some of the venues I've seen Tull perform in - Swindon Leisure Centre anyone?

Maddog- Oasis Centre Swindon 1992 I was there. Crap venue. Saw Tull a few times at Hereford Leisure Centre and that was on a par with Swindon. Best venue Sr Davids Hall, Cardiff, Best Gig 'Crest' NEC Birmingham 1987 or Albert Hall 1980 or ....... most of them actually! Cheers Duck

Here's one more from that great venue, in Monza. I've just had an email from Franco, (who posted it on youtube) and he does say it was an "amazing concert", and to cap it all, the lucky man met Doane Perry afterwards.
