Post any great video's you find from youtube (or elsewhere) for this year here. And let me know if any links are dead too and I'll delete them. Thanks.
From Davy Hall's collection. 2010 film transfer from the Master reel. 1973 Madison Square Garden NYC. UPGRADE. You've seen it before, however this being 1st generation is slightly better quality and for the first time synced with actual sound from the Aug28 1973 MSG show. This transfer took many attempts. The film is quite dark and very red so results varied greatly. A projector or 2 later I am finnaly settling with these results. Hope you enjoy! Tulltapes
Can anyone tell me if there's a copy out there of the tv advert for A Passion Play?
Don't think it's out there the British Film Industry hold it - apparently. I looked at their brilliant site on Youtube and it's not there - yet. They upload on a daily basis so maybe it'll turn up. The trouble with the BFI channel is that you can't leave it some amazing footage

Jethro Tull: First Post/Animelee/Tiger Toon (1973)
WilliZBlog 6.32K subscribers The infamous 1973 recording sessions at the Chateau D'Herouville, near Paris, were never completed due to ill-health, technical and production problems, and the sudden decision of the band to return to the U.K. from temporary and ill-advised tax exile.
Rather than continue with the Chateau Tapes, Jethro Tull decided to begin again with a virtually new work which quickly became the more down-beat and controversial "A Passion Play".
Here the first three pieces "First Post", "Animelee", and "Tiger Toon" from the Chateau (D'isaster) Tapes. Pictures from rare Super-8 video with Jethro Tull backstage 1974, thanks to TullTapes (youtube.com/user/TullTapes) for original video (modified by me)

Just watched this over on youtube. Absolutely brilliant!!!!!! The audio is superb, would have loved to have seen that PP tour....it's a pity they didn't do many PP shows.

I was lucky enough to be at the Empire Pool, Wembley on 23/6/73 to see that great show and I did look a lot younger then
That's me in the middle
And who comes here to wish me well? A sweetly-scented angel fell, She laid her head upon my disbelief, And bathed me with her ever-smile.
Great picture. I would like to think I knew at the time how unique and important that night was in my miserable little life...I mean, it was my first Tull concert and they were already my favorite band but the magnitude of that night grows in the rear view mirror.
char1: Does anyone know how John is and is he able to play in the US now?? Thanks

JT_fan1994: Jethro Tull could play anything: jazz, blues, classical, hard rock, Elizabethan folk. I like how every album sounds different from the one before and after.
