A memorable concert for me even though I was back in row X. Happy days when I would jump on the National Express down to the smoke to see Tull.

My first Jethro Tull concert was here in 1978. I remember being totally blown away. When I got home I wrote 'Jethro Tull' in black marker pen on my school satchel. A rebel at 13!!

OneBrownMouse Did similar after seeing the Yardbirds at the Wimbledon Palais in early 1965. Copied the Yardbird's logo onto the cover of my maths log tables booklet. (I could never understand log tables - anyone enlighten me after all these years ?)

Info notes with the download: JETHRO TULL Songs From The Coliseum [Uxbridge 372, 2CD] Live at the Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, WA; March 3, 1977. Very good to excellent audience mono recording.
This set was previously shared among fans as Came Down Out Of The Sky To Cry You A Song, missing the first six tracks on Disc One. A version of this complete show was shared on the net in May this year, which prompted a fan, luciferburns, to comment that Jethro Tull’s 1977 tour was the group’s “last hoorah as far as I’m concerned as I think Songs From The Wood was their last truly inspired album and tour.” Put it this way, if you are a Jethro Tull fan, you will be hugely entertained and will not be disappointed, with Ian Anderson’s flute solo towards the end of Disc One a particular highlight. Perhaps there is simply something beguiling in the set’s (or the songs’) rusticity.
Thanks to Lincoln Park Mark for sharing the tracks.
Disc 1 Wondr’ing Aloud Skating Away On The Thin Ice Of The New Day Jack-In-The-Green Thick As A Brick Songs From The Wood Conundrum/Drum Solo To Cry You A Song A New Day Yesterday Flute Solo Living In The Past/A New Day Yesterday (Reprise)
Disc 2 Velvet Green Hunting Girl Too Old To Rock ‘N ‘Roll, Too Young To Die Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony Minstrel In The Gallery Cross-Eyed Mary Aqualung Guitar Solo Wind Up Back-Door Angels Locomotive Breath Land Of Hope And Glory Back-Door Angels (Reprise)
Lineup: Ian Anderson - vocals, flute Martin Barre - guitar John Glascock - bass John Evan - keyboards, piano David Palmer - keyboards, piano Barriemore Barlow - drums

One and the same Ron. Credit must be due to Ben Russington for transcribing it - a labour of love The concept is not one that UK radio does - some fine live in the studio stuff, from all artists, but getting listeners to phone in questions doesn't readily happen over here.

Looks like it was a good listen! Oh yes. Often wondered how many fans phoned the radio station hoping to ask a question.

Oh yes. Often wondered how many fans phoned the radio station hoping to ask a question. An, so call ins might happen, but aren't likely to get through? Don't know what the score is with American radio stations. The questions may have been pre-recorded earlier so as to weed out the idiots who like to get "on air" and then ask some idiotic/rambling questions perhaps ?
