The version of A New Day Yesterday above is absolutely classic, rocking as hard as Tull did live back in the early 70s, many thanks for it even in its slightly chopped up form, makes it seem even more authentic!

JETHRO TULL: - "BEASTIES TOUR 82" Padova Italy JETHRO TULL: "BEASTIES TOUR 82". 1982 saw the release of what people considered to be one of Jethro Tull's finest albums. "The Broadsword and the Beast".
This is footage of two venues in May of 1982 in Padova Italy. Of the 19 tracks, 4 had been taken from poor quality masters, but the result is well worth it, the nearest thing that you find to a (COMPLETE) 1982 Broadsword & the Beast Concert. Sit back and prepare to enjoy yourself.

Is this concert available on CD or streaming or SOMETHING??? This is my absolute favorite version of locomotive breath, and the whole show is spectacular but I'm having a hard time tracking it down. I'd love to not have to listen to it only on YouTube.

"Crossfire", "Protect and Survive", "Bungle in theJungle" (at least) were recorded on the 1980 "A" tour. They didnt feature in the 1982 tour anywhere. Hate it when concerts from different eras are mixed together

Hate it when concerts from different eras are mixed together The problem with concerts when taped by radio stations is that the recordings either have to be "padded out" or edited to fit the station schedule. Thus in cases such as above some poor trainee has to find any song to fill the airplay time slot or edit the applause or as has happened a couple of time, the song/songs themselves. OK bootleggers will do the same but at least we have the recordings whether or not the songs are from the correct original source.

In the case of "Supergroups" though, its given authenticity because venues and dates are quoted, yet as we discussed its just not accurate. I also dislike it when a cover has a photograph from a totally different era. I have a bootleg also from 82 , and the sleeve notes state that "this is the debut of 17 year old Alexander Barre on guitar"...Alexander doesn't exist of course, someone has heard IA during the stage patter introduce Martin as " 17 year old Alexander Lancelot Barre, he even has the same haircut as his dad" That joke is lost with the passage of time and becomes more disinformation. Maybe it just doesn't matter really? Yet it bothers the Tull "Anorak" in me
