hi, just a bit more info on pic, ( now that i have time ) we were going to see tull play at king georges hall in blackburn, may 08 i have seen them 40 + times and have never been one for waiting round for pics/autographs etc . we were waiting for the train at a place called bamber bridge ( near preston lancs ) and discussing with my other half that it would be funny if ian was on the same train ! honestly , anyway it went out of my mind and we just caught the train , as we were getting off i got to the door area and was about to let off this gent who was carrying a travel case and as he bent down to pick it up we made eye contact and he must have noticed my t-shirt with his pic on it cus he shot off walking briskly down platform , i managed to catch him up and asked politely if he had time for a photo and he agreed , its not very good quality pic cus i dident have a camera and was taken on my phone . i asked how the 40th ann tour was going and he just said fine . they had been playing in wales (rhyl) the night before, but that train comes from blackpool so maybe he had been visiting old friends for a stay over to save on hotels !! lol.

Wow...'On Preston Platform....' etc. A friend of mine shared a train ride with Tull, the day after 'Zurich Dressing Room', on the way to Italy. The band shared a compartment, were friendly and Ian, popped out often to handroll and smoke a cig. (1989).

Went to Manchester in 1989 to see the band at the Apollo and met IA near the venue as we were scouting around to try and find a fast food eatery. He signed the obligitory autograph, thanked us for the effort of organising the Tull Convention that year and off he went into the late afternoon with Kenny Wylie. Maartin Allcock and Dave Pegg were also loitering nearby, probably waiting for the pubs to open ;D
