Ian and company were well received by a sellout crowd at the Count Basie Theatre.
Set list: Dun Ringill Just Trying To Be Jack in the Green Jeffrey Goes to Leicester Square Skating Away Serenade to a Cuckoo Tea with the Princess Dragon Skies (?unsure of title, a Meena Bhasin written number) Fat Man Rocks on the Road
INTERVAL
Some Day the Sun Won't Shine For You A Change of Horses Mother Goose Andantino (the Florian solo) Bouree My God Aqualung Locomotive Breath (Encore)
All the pieces which were played on the "Ian Anderson plays Orchestral Tull" in Frankfurt were played in the orchestral version rather than the traditional Tull version. Everything was well received. Ian had the traditional moments of vocal failure as well as moments of vocal clarity. I concur with everyone who suggested that Ian seemed quite relaxed and in good spirits with this current grouping of musicians and format. As has been noted he was quite verbal in introducing each piece.
A lot more acoustic guitar, accordian and viola than I expected. Great support from the new musicians. The crowd left happy.

Red Bank was a great show despite the occaisional loud pops and crackles thru the PA system coming from the bass and drums. One light failed to sync a few times as well, but it had no negative effect. It was great to see some tunes I have never seen performed in 32 years of Tull/Ian tours.
