Saw Ian on his solo acoustic tour in Worcester, MA at the recently renovated Hanover Theatre on Sat 10 October. I would estimate it was about 95% sold out. I was in row K, under the overhang, so I couldn't see how many empty seats there were in the deep reaches of the theater. He started about 10 mins late. I noticed that all the 'stools' were about 15-20 feet back from the front of the stage, thought that was a bit odd. I don't recall the entire set list, sorry. Some nice variety, from Dun Ringill to Skating Away. As someone else mentioned, he had an odd Aqualung arrangement, and for the encore, played part of Locomotive Breath, and then came back for the full song. The show progressed from the softer songs to 'harder' ones. When Meena came out, I thought we *might* get Wond'ring Again, which I thought might be perfect for this, or, Baker Street Muse, too. Alas, no Life is a Long Song this year. But I will say that while he obviously can't hit the high ones, his voice does seem to be stronger than earlier this decade. Sure he's singing in a lower key, and all, but he's able to belt 'em out well. I had my camera, but only a 50mm lens, so due to their set back from the stage edge I'm not thrilled w/ 'em. Plus, due to the presence of security guys that of course, were right by me, I didn't dare to take pix until the very end when everyone was standing and I was shielded by people around me. So no pix of Ian w/ flute Here's one shot: More are at the www.flickr.com/groups/jethrotull/pool/ Flickr group, and a couple of people have posted a few better shots.

Thanks for that aqualung. bloody security eh? ;D Thats a beautiful pic and I checked out the others on Flikr - I thought they were really good and captured the faces well. How did Dun Ringill sound? Other people have said the same as yourself that his voice is sounding stronger this time. Can't be bad !

Dun Ringill sounded very good, Ian even did the 'weather's on the change' intro, I think it was a BBC guy on the original?

Before 5,286 others dive in, the spoken parts on the beginning of DEun Ringill are Francis Wilson, was was a weatherman on the BBC but is now, still, on Sky News in the UK

I was also at that show. I agree the security guys were a pain, but since I don't get to see Ian all that often I got a couple bootleg videos on my digital camera while he wasn't looking. One of the female violinist who was incredible. The other is Ian and Florian doing Fat Man.

Seems the "security arrangements" differ between the UK and America somewhat ;D Over here we get low key security in the form of "Friends" of the venue who check the tickets and at the solo show I saw back in September was friendly and helpful. The last show I saw over here where the security was provided by a company specialising in such stuff the guys had vanished by the end of the first half of the gig
