The sole Cropredy I attended was bliss...perfect weather (1998, I think...maybe 97...no Tull, amazing history of Fairport set and the awful, horrible, unspeakably boring Saw Doctors). Anyway...camping three nights was not roughing it...plenty of non-yucky toilets...plenty of showers, food choices, beer in truck tankers...usually with Pegg or Allcock alongside, polite people. It was sooo good...after fears of english summer weather...that I might be afraid to go back and get the three day mudbath i dodged. Hey Rebecca...nice to see you've gone senior...you and your family must be very proud of you....all you have to do now is be opinionated, insensitive, bossy and smug...then you might get promoted to 'God'. I always see 'Saw Doctors' ads in Mojo...they gig all over the Isles...tell me, who pays to see those people? I don't know when I got to be Senior, but I thought it was quite awhile ago. I may be closer to God than you think! Scoot over, man! And I think I can take the camping if you can, although hanging in a nice inn with everything on one site as Maddog says sounds good too -- and is just the way all D & D adventures get started!

A few years ago we could have considered Pegg's house for our HQ during Cropredy...but Ithink he has relocated to Brittany...perhaps his ex-wife will invite us in.

What? Does this mean he's cancelling the sweet sixteenth anniversary tour of the start of the three year long 25th anniversary tour? Damn! I was so looking forward to the slide show of the 40th anniversary slide show, rumored to be in production, as we speak.

"Jethro Tull" IS: Ian Anderson, Florian Ophale, Mark Medisir, John O'Hara and Boots Randolph.
The vocals are NOT being sung by Popeye the Sailor Man, smartass....that is, indeed, Ian Anderson!

Where's the Q and A w/Boots?......Oh yeah...good call on the post-spinach, eye-bulging, neck-straining vocals!

Well if the shindig is still on the table ... Cropredy has announced the dates for next year .... The dates for Fairport's Cropredy Convention are 12 - 14 August 2010. Tickets will go on sale on 1 March. No guests as yet. As per the official page (so far) UK dates are set for March 2010 and beginning of April? Wonder if their is a possibility? See also that Peggy is having a birthday bash (62nd) on 2nd November at Nettlebed Folk Club in Nettlebed Oxon
