I am glad to see this still appears to be happening, nearly dead certain I read over of the Folk Forum that this had disbanded about a month ago. I know that thing he was doin off and on w Swarb in recent years apparently has ended. But I guess they are looking to do a few dates with the remaining L and L cast, of course before Maart's time. You just know Maart wil always find something tasty, if he's in it, its automatically good is my estimation.RT had something about seeing about getting Maart's fingers cut off so you know he's a badass. Kind of wish he had never left Fairport, other than the L and L cast, that was my favorite version of the band, 86 thru 96. And, if the day ever comes, obviously I hope it does not, that Martin says enough, Maart is the one guy who could, if not fill Martin's shoes, has a real understanding of the job description. Folks who only know him from Tull may not know what a beast of a multi instrumentalist this guy is, particularly w anything involving strings. BTW, some of you folks may know of Rob Braviner, Fairport sound guy from roughly the mid eighties w at least one Tull tour assignment as well, has passed away at freaking 49 yo, so very sorry to hear this, very good man, I pounded a few w he and Maart in Milwaukee in 96, they laid some interesting tales on me.

What shocking, bad news...Rob was...no joke...beyond a doubt,... a member of fairport. I too enjoyed his company, along with maart and peggy over the years and saw why the fairporters always called him a band member...I hope there is some sort of big time fairport gathering in his memory and support for his family in whatever way it can be done.
