Did somebody over here read Big Mick´s autobiography so far? I´ve got it as a christmas present and read it in 2 days.
It is quite a good and interesting read. Ok, good old Mick uses the f...word and other foul language a bit often, but he tries to be honest and hey, it´s Mick.
He tells some very good stories about being on the road with different bands and musicians. His time as a founder member of JT wasn´t too long, so this period of his life takes just 2 chapters of the book. Some stories about his private life are really moving, so are the descriptions of the desillusion he had to go through. Other chapters are just funny!
The book is available on amazon. Buy it!

I did a quick review on the Mick Abrahams' thread. Yes a good book and well worth the read.

Not as easy as it sounds steel. The original Chrysalis albums, now re-released by BGO etc are excellent as are the A New Day issues, especially "Lies" but there are some dodgy ones out there which are official but have the recording quality of a bootleg. However, of the better ones, playing on my CD at the moment is "The Basement Tapes" (HUX Records) which features BBC Radio 1 sessions 1969 - 74 which is IMO required listening and "Live at the Lafayette" (Indigo Records). The Lafayette recording is not the best but is a good live performance. Mick's site has a discography of most of his output which you've no doubt read but there seem to be some recordings in existance which Mick may not know about. Whether these are official or not I've no idea.

I´ll recommend "Pig In The Middle" from the good old times and from the newer ones: "Lies", I think this album is a really good one. And as Maddogfaggin pointed out: There is some rubbish on sale. Especially the new live albums have a poor sound, some of the stuff is in mono

Does anyone know how Mick is doing? I've seen him play a few times, and really hope he recovers enough to play again.
