Watch the whole concert Thanks a lot bunkerfan. Pretty good performance but no acoustic guitar? C’mon Ian, the flute is great and all but the acoustic guitar is a pivotal piece of Tull. Dump Clasp and SFTW ( just can’t pull it off vocally) for Thick and My God at the very least. Then dump For a Thousand Mothers for Budapest. Also dump Love Story for something like Dangerous Veils or anything off RTB. Think that the new stuff is really good (includes Hunt By Numbers) but IMO you should exclude the political remarks, that’s a turn off. Remember you recently (pre ZG) scolded an interviewer who tried to bait you with a political question in referring to a song in which you replied “ Nice try… I don’t do politics.” You should keep to your word.

Don't like shared vocals in the same song, it makes IA s voice sound even worse. I thought the same with Ryan during the Brick2 tour too. Let the better singer sing!

Jethro Tull live am 05.08.2022 in Salzgitter Jethro Tull live on August 5th, 2022 in the courtyard of Salder Castle in my hometown of Salzgitter as part of the cultural summer. The sound quality is good, but the video quality is not, because the camera was taken from me during the bag check and I had to record with my cell phone without a tripod

Jethro Tull in Trnava LINK by Erik KriššákOn August 13, 2022, the legendary rock group Jethro Tull appeared at the Trnava amphitheater.
I admit, I won't be objective, as the band belongs to my hearts. More original music for a person to look at, only on Under Wraps I can listen to her entire discography with enthusiasm. I have seen her live three times already, first in Banská Bystrica (17.6.1997), then on 23.5.2004 in Bratislava, and yesterday in Trnava.
Ian Anderson surprised me earlier this year with a pleasant new album The Zealot Gene . I wouldn't believe that Jethro Tull will release anything else, after all, the other studio album was released about nineteen years ago and it was actually such an unconventional act, as can already be seen from the title Christmas Album . Nothing! I first tried to buy a T-shirt in the amphitheater area. It was a chore, interested parties were scurrying around the small space and the part- time worker didn't know where her head was. It took a while, but I finally got one piece.
The band started exactly at half past nine and played an interesting mix of old and new songs. The introduction belonged to the sixties, while the start was difficult. Anderson, in particular, struggles quite a bit with his singing. He still has a unique voice color, no one else in the world has it. But he replaced the highs by stretching his neck to the highs, and here and there a guitarist helped him with his singing. The audience cheered more strongly for the first time during the classic Living In The Past , but the choice of songs from albums from the 80s and even from the album J-Tull Dot Com was accompanied by practically no applause after the announcement. Never mind! The band played gradually and the biggest surprise for me was the inclusion of the song Dharma For One, which is basically a drum solo. Anderson announced that this was a thing written for Clive Bunker and was from a time when drummers played more freely than they do now. Scott Hammond handled it in his own way, the short solo was not boring.
Mine Is The Mountain , The Zealot Gene and Mrs. Tibbets , it can be seen that Anderson sings them to the best of his abilities and does not struggle as with the older hits. He jokingly stated the latter as his favorite song, which is not about Trump, but could be... After the famous instrumental Bourée by Bach, which the frontman described as "porn jazz", the musicians went to rest for about 20 minutes so that she could follow the greatest hits ride.
The hit song Old To Rock'n'Roll Too Young To Die was probably known by every person in the full amphitheater, so it received a standing ovation, although the singing was probably the most difficult. Another brilliant renaissance classic, Pastime With Good Company by King Henry VIII, was one of the highlights of the concert, and I also really appreciate the demanding composition Songs From The Wood , which the musicians handled very well. It was almost the end. The surprising instrumental version of the Aqualung classic finally got its sung form, and after a short round of applause, the musicians enjoyed the Locomotive Breath encore . And we enjoyed it with them. Final epilogue of The Dambusters Marchthe audience was already listening to the standing ovations. The music ended, Anderson introduced the musicians, and added that he was looking forward to the next time.
I'm not paying attention!
PS I met a few acquaintances, even a few teammates, the trip to Bratislava was quick. It was a successful evening with excellent music, the old men once again demonstrated that they have more energy than many contemporary rock "stars". How long will they last?Set I. For A Thousand Mothers (Stand Up, 1969)
Love Story (single, 1968)
Living In The Past (single, 1969)

Mine Is The Mountain (The Zealot Gene, 2022)
Black Sunday (A, 1980)
Bourée in E minor (Stand Up, 1969)
Set II. Too Old To Rock'n'Roll Too Young To Die (Too Old To Rock'n'Roll Too Young To Die, 1976)
The Zealot Gene (The Zealot Gene, 2022)
Pastime With Good Company (Stormwatch bonus track, 1979)
Mrs. Tibbets (The Zealot Gene, 2022)
