Put together a ten song unreleased Tull gem album not using songs from Living In the Past as that’s more of an official release. Can you imagine the sheer brilliance of an album like the one below.
1) Glory Row 2) Man of Principle 3) Jack-a-Lynn 4) Saturation 5) Broadford Bazaar
6) Summerday Sands 7) Paradise Steakhouse 8) Overhang 9) Rainbow Blues 10) Coronach

One can only hope there are still a few more gems to be uncovered in the way the book re-issues have done so far.

In the 70`s when Jethro Tull took up 95% of my attention, I had a re-occurring dream of going into a record store, looking at a Tull album and all the songs were ones I never heard of. This dream happened at least 10 times over that period. I use to go to magazine stores every month and look through music mags to find any article on Jethro Tull, especially news on an upcoming album. One of the most unlikely sources of information came from Variety Magazine. There, I found out about the sacking of Barlow, Evan and Palmer in 1980 and in `82, news about the new New Tull album "Broadsword And The Beat" (yes, the Beat). I hoped they meant "Beast" and thank God they did. Who wants to listen to a song named "Beatie". Anyway, on a Saturday morning in May `88, in a small article, I read of a 20 year commemorative box set by Tull being released in September featuring "65 Unreleased Songs"!!!! For me, it was the most anticipated Tull album of all time, also the longest four months of my life! It was like all my dreams coming true at once. The tradition continued with Nightcap and these box sets, but nothing compares to that 20 year set. Sadly, I got sick and had to stay home from work and listen to that set (over and over....cough, cough) So I guess that would be my first fantasy album come true. But with Tull, there will be more!

Ever since I first saw Tull in 1971 I have been amazed by how powerful the band was on stage. As good as the albums were, they really came alive in concert. My fantasy was always for more live Tull recordings. A few years ago Ian talked about having recorded every show over a period of years so that the band could listen and determine what worked well and not so well. He mentioned an intent to make some of these recordings for sale, but I never heard another word about it. Several bands like the Allman Brothers, The Who, lots of "Jam bands" have posted dozens to hundreds of their concerts for sale on their websites. My fantasy would be that Ian does the same. I wonder if he realizes how many fans would scoop these up, especially any concerts from their heydays of the 70s. The live concerts in the boxsets have been great, but we want more!

Wouldn`t it be great to have a concert from every album tour from Tull on CD and DVD. What a compliment to the albums themselves.

How about the unreleased 1981 Album?
1. Jack A Lynn 2. Too Many Too 3. Overhang 4. I Am Your Gun 5. Down At The End Of Your Road 6. No Step 7. Drive On The Young Side Of Life 8. Commons Brawl 9. Motoreyes 10. Crew Nights 11. Lights Out
I think this is better then "A" or "Under Wraps", and a few of these songs are better then the lesser songs on Broadsword.
