Hi everybody,
many times we have heard comments from Ian about touring with the Zepps, Hendrix, Carmen and many others. However, I havn't found any comments about the great Rory Gallagher and David Coverdale, who shared bills in the late 70's and 80's with Tull. In particular Rory would seem the guy with whom Ian would spend some time: professional, humble, even reclusive. Has anyone heard or read anything anywhere?

I never heard of Tull gigging with Rory or DC. Seems unlikely to me..... Rory was a great guitarist but I don't think Ian's cup of tea, musically, he would be too noisy (Taste) but Rory was a lovely guy, yes As for David Coverdale, a great singer but not someone who IA would hang out with...….

Well my friend, truth has It that Tull shared the bill many times with both Rory Gallagher and Whitesnake. Just search the touring history... Rory actually supported Tull during the infamous Tullavision 76 tour...

As you say though, it's not mentioned much is it

Poor Rory by 1986 he didn't look well. The expression on his face was of sadness. He had grown weight and the energy was just not the same.
