Some of you might remember me. I used to be around, mainly at the "old site," and I've decided it's time to be around again. I don't know what to say, I have nothing to "plug!" Anyway, hello to all.

Oh, god yes, I remember you. Once in particular you were talking about being in that hot tub...... Jeff

Thanks for the greetings, all! Jeff, I had pretty much forgotten about that hot tub thing, back in the days of my reckless (cyber-) youth! At least that's a positive memory (I take it)

Well yes Rebecca, of course it is positive. I have a lot of positive memories of your many spirited contributions to the old Tull board. And if I'm not mistaken, you chirped in quite a bit with Blue and Ryan (and several others) when I was telling my story about the first time I met Ian with my friend Argentinian Mike. You know, the one about Marsha the Musical Moose and the Willie Warmer Affair! Great to have you back.
Jeff

Thanks, Jeff, it does me a lot of good to hear that. Nice to be talking to you too! I do remember you telling that long story, and I especially remember the Willie Warmer. In the old days I would have commented on my own abilities in that field, but I am much more mature than I used to be, as you can tell.

This old age thing is a bummer as you have to become a bit more respectable and a pillar of society. I just get on with it all and if I annoy the "youngsters" I just think b*****ks and tell them I may be 60 but I have the mind and attitude of a 25 year old ;D

Being older should really mean being comfortable with yourself and not worrying about impressing anybody, shouldn't it? My problem is that I am pretty comfortable with myself, but I still care about being misunderstood!

I totally agree with you about the getting older, and being comfortable with yourself part, as well as caring if you are misunderstood or not. I was not as vocal on the old board but I'm trying on this one. Regards, Silken...

I think you may be the only one here who remembers that story. Blue and Ryan don't come here too much and Rob Curtis and many of the others are long gone. I remember that you joined in with racy comments after each installment of the epic yarn. BTW, you can now see photos of the hero of my story, Argentinan Mike, on the website warchildlive.com. He recently landed the gig as keyboard player with the excellent Tull tribute band, War Child! They also have a myspace page. I think it would be funny if you were to write a message to Mike on their wall referring to Marsha the Musical Moose and the Willie Warmer story. Jeff

Thanks, Jeff, it does me a lot of good to hear that. Nice to be talking to you too! I do remember you telling that long story, and I especially remember the Willie Warmer. In the old days I would have commented on my own abilities in that field, but I am much more mature than I used to be, as you can tell. Man, I've obviously missed out on some fun conversations! ;D Basically, to make a long story short, my best friend Mike Grin was dating a children's performer/clown, Marsha the Musical Moose, around the time of the Catfish Rising tour. (Marsha, possibly spelled Marcia, is still around, she does Manhattan birthday parties, for which she gets paid an hourly rate equivalent to that of most Manhattan attorneys.) The story was told within the context of an already-existing thread entitled 'penis size,' a thread which, if I am not mistaken, was initiated by Ms. Rebecca herself, so we are quite fortunate to have her back! Anyway, the story that I wound up telling in serialized fashion (which was quite by accident) involved Mike's intention to present Ian with one of Marsha's finger-moose puppets after the Nassau Coliseum show that year, for which we managed to get backstage passes a week or two earlier at one of the Paramount shows in NYC. The details of the story are screamingly funny, especially because Mike ultimately succeeded in carrying out his plan, although it was by no means certain that we would have the opportunity for him to do so, and it was only by virtue of some unusual occurrences and lucky breaks that this was possible. What was funny about the story was that people were following along, making hilarious comments after each of the nine or ten installments, which included an epilogue. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to print out the entire story including all the colloquy just in time, because the thread was in the process of being archived and had I waited another day or two, the whole thing would have been gone! So, therefore, although I have probably given too much away, I could re-tell the whole damn thing, and that might be a funny idea for a new thread because this time all the comments would be different! But I will only start such a thread if there is sufficient interest. And only if I get a major boost in my Karma rating..... Jeff ;D

That sounds a whole lot like a dare, Jeff...do you have to have a myspace to post there? I signed up for one years ago but never did anything with it and now I don't think I could find it if I had to.
As for good ol' Rob Curtis, he told me once that he'd be back around when Tull put out a new album, so that explains that!
yes, it was within the penis size thread, wasn't it? I've been divorced awhile now, I could write a few more chapters about that, except that it's unladylike to kiss and tell. I'm all for you telling your story again, depending on our current moderators (the best and the worst thing about the old forum being that you could get away with saying anything)
Anyway, I have exalted you.

I'm not sure you have to be a Myspace member to go to someone's myspace page, but I don't think you do. I just thought it would be funny if Mike got a message about that story from someone he didn't know. But anyway, you can definitely go to their website Warchildlive.com to see Mike. BTW, I exalted you too because of your return! I remember when you signed off the other board with everyone trying to change your mind, but you definitely kept your word because we didn't hear anything further from you until now. Jeff

Not so fast fats...I vote 'yes please' on the long version! I'm friends with an MD here in the bay area who was asked by Ian to verify a certain drummer's claim that he had an anatomical uniqueness....probably long enough ago (late eighties) to discuss without fear of litigation!

I'm afraid I forgot about this thread but I agree, I never get tired of talking about penises. Just try to hold me back!
Now, in addition to Jeff's friend Mike...
What was this anomaly and why was Ian so curious?
Now I must go and make chocolate desserts and then go to a gathering or two, but as soon as I get home I'll put my double entendre hat back on.

Rebecca's right, we need something to spice this board up. On the official board we used to go crazy when we had material like this. Bernie drops a bombshell about knowing a doctor who examined a certain Tull drummer at Ian's request to verify an alleged anatomical anomaly, and nobody (except Rebecca, natch) says anything??? I want details and I want them right now!!!!! Jeff
