Just wondering, why is this box set no longer available? The prices for aftermarket copies are astronomical. Will it be available again? Thanks for any responses.

Hi coill and welcome to our corner of the known universe As far as I understand, once the anniversary book issues are sold out there won't be any further re-printing. Have you searched any of the amazon sites to see if they've got any copies ?

I've just looked on ebay and you're right "astronomical." One is for sale at £170.00 and the other £232.16 I'm left wondering why too Welcome to The Forum coill

Hi Coill, I think the prices for some of the box sets has been "astronomical" for some time. I seem to remember this topic being discussed on the forum in the past.
I know that the 'Thick as a Brick", ''Stand Up", "Aqualung" and "Minstrel" box sets are hard to find and expensive. It may be they were more popular albums or perhaps that less copies of them were produced (or both). You can still get the "Too Old" box set for (almost) the original price I think.
You would think that if the demand was there, then they may release additional copies. I guess it must come down to how many they need to produce and sell to make it economically viable..

First of all, a hearty thank you to those who responded and welcomed me to this site. JT fans are a cut above the rest! I guess the moral of the story is buy the anniversary sets you’d like to get fairly quick, or you could be s.o.l.. I do agree though if a demand still exists why not release a larger number of them?
