AQUALUNG 50TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW BACK ON THE ROAD (ALMOST!!)
UPDATE: February 9th 2022
We are sure that many of you are now aware that unfortunately
a few of our team have tested positive with Covid.
Sadly we are going to have to pause the tour to get everyone back up to full health.
We are doing everything we can to reschedule our dates between February 10th and 19th inclusive.
All being well, we hope to be back on the road for our show in Oakland California – we will keep you posted!

GUITARIST FROM JETHRO TULL 16 JUNE 2022 LINK A note from Martin Barre:
It is with the deepest regret that I must make a very difficult decision to postpone,
indefinitely, all my shows in 2022. The prime reason for this is my health,
as I need surgery, minor I hope, to solve a problem that has increased over
the last few years as it would prevent me working and is very debilitating.
Many apologies to all my fans for the inconvenience this will cause.
If you have purchased a ticket you will
automatically receive an email from Skiddle with information on your refund.
Martin confirming that he had made the decision to cancel all of his UK shows due
to ongoing health issues, Martin goes on to say, After returning from my USA tour,
which has been personally incredibly challenging I am taking time out to undertake
a very overdue operation for an ongoing health issue.
He says I have desperately tried to continue balancing my music, health and fulfilling
covid postponed shows for the past few months but alas, can no longer juggle the three,
and need to finally take some time out to focus on my health. Health does come before anything else.

I heard it was his hernia bothering him. That's unfortunate to lose him on the tour, but you can't let things like that get out of control. I hope he gets it fixed.

I was talking a couple days ago to an old Tullhead I used to go to shows with who said he was pretty sure it was a hernia. |

So I did. "Funny you should ask!" he said — and we both chortled. And with THAT out of the way, we had a fine conversation. He's a charming and witty man whose work with Tull is so important beyond solos that it needs to be emphasized: Barre had a LOT more to do with Tull's compositions than Ian Anderson — credited as the band's premier composer — acknowledges. In fact, Barre fielded a question in that regard with the sort of gentle amusement that makes me believe his royalties reflect the reality of the situation — whether Anderson talks about it or not. ANYWAY ... Barre brings his latest band to The Kate Thursday in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the "Aqualung" album. They'll perform that recording in its entirety and, yes, Barre will do that "Aqualung" solo note for note because he knows that's what you want to hear and, in that spirit, he's happy to do it. 3/18 update: We have just received word from Martin Barre’s management
that Dee Palmer is ill and will not be able to play this date.
The concert will move forward as scheduled.
