I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere round here, but I haven't seen it. I'm sure most of you have noticed the change made on the 40th anniv. release of TAAB. It occurs on side 2 where the nursery rhyme line enters on flute before the drum solo. On the original it is played only once in full but it is repeated on the anniv. edition. You can hear it here (begin listening around 1:30): www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fkEuTT50_8&index=5&list=OLAK5uy_kk5Y4OYWFNpEAo-Ib4SSy4qDyFj_Oj4oAVs the original where only the second half of the line is repeated (begin here at 1:30 as well): www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2s7Jl46ZvkI guess I just have too much free time these daze! Can someone splain what happened?

Can someone splain what happened? Throw this open to those members with good hearing (mine's shot to pieces with far too many concerts). All I can guess is that the extra was cut from the original tape perhaps ?

The first time I heard it I knew something was different immediately. Just interesting to me if it was that noticeable to others and how it happened. It would be interesting to hear what SW would say. Not that discussing this would be worth his time.

The other piece that stood out the proverbial mile for me at least was the flute version of Move On Alone on the This Was 50th Anniversary set - why this has never surfaced before is incredible and it's a refreshing look into the fact that IA's flute playing improved by leaps and bounds over such a short period of time. Again it was probably found hidden at the end of a master tape and not heard for 50 years.
