I'm just getting around to listening to the Heavy Horses anniversary edition. Upon listening to the song Everything In Our Lives (which I never knew existed until twenty minutes ago), I was immediately reminded of the themes to the Stormwatch album. Could this song have been the impetus of what Ian Anderson would go on to write about for the next release? I wonder if this was the final (if not one of the final) songs recorded for HH.
Also, Anderson's lyric...."you and I will have everything in our lives..." immediately reminded me of a scene in the film Interstellar where John Lithgow's character refers to the times we are living in now as, "When I was a kid, it seemed like they made something new every day. Some, gadget or idea, like every day was Christmas. But six billion people, just imagine that. And every last one of them trying to have it all."

Stormwatch is always regarded in some quarters as being the final part of the trilogy of SRWT/HH/SW so your assumptions are quite likely correct. The link to Intersteller is damn interesting and something that hasn't occurred to me before.

I'll listen to it again from that perspective.
