And somewhere in the crowd I think I hear a young girl whisper: "Are you ever lonely, just like me?"

And somewhere in the crowd I think I hear a young girl whisper: "Are you ever lonely, just like me?" The loneliness of stardom perhaps.

Doesn't everybody have their own Rock Island ? Young/Old, Male/Female, Famous/Fan.....and magic moments of connection....or potential connection missed.

I'm on my own Rock Island as a JT listener. The people around where I live like this vanilla sounding modern preprogrammed electronic neo-country-pop. And my wife and I have been together since 1985 and she still refers to the band as "him".
"For the love of God, pet.....it's not a "him"....it's a "they". "I mean, it IS a "him", but that would be if you were referring to the farmer. :-)
