That might be the exact picture that accompanied 'Jethro Tull presents the Benny Goodman Story',.....you're amazing, Remy, I have wanted this photo for years as it accompanied the review of my first Tull gig ever. That is a sopranino sax...smaller then a soprano sax which is smaller than the alto sax he used on War Child...sax players say the sopranino is difficult to play and the reeds are torturous, brittle and expensive. This sax is the heart of the APP sound, which is the heart of Jethro Tull which is the heart of the known universe...so, yeah, thanks.

The thing about that photo is THAT'S how Ian looked that year...I don't know why, maybe a bit more forehead or better hair care/ attention to the part...but no longer looked like most of the fotos of him floating about...especially the ones in LITP....he looked like he does in THAT foto the day I saw him live.

You're welcome, had read on this thread something about it, but since I'm a bit disordered, I did not find this until this past weekend... Also agree with your words! "This sax is the heart of the APP sound, which is the heart of Jethro Tull which is the heart of the known universe"Great phrase that sums it up, I keep it for my Tull phrases collection

I'm glad my hysteria has found a home...think how much I have annoyed friends, girlfriends and, now, my daughter.

I would love to be watching this live right now! I just can't wait to hear the new music. My problem is, the day the album comes out in April, I will be at a conference in CA. I might have to wait few days before I can hear it. I hate that!

Hey Teach., if the conference is in the Bay Area, we can have a lsitening party the day it comes out...if the conference is in southern California, my sympathies.

Face it Jim, 3 hours behind...and twenty years ahead. You got me Bernie. With all the progressive culture and diversity, California is hard to beat. Sometimes I say Asheville, North Carolina is like North Carolina's San Francisco.

I was only kidding...the real future is probaly in Tokyo or Shanghai or Berlin...I can't imagine Starbucks at every corner SF could be different from Starbucks at every corner anywhere else. I remember when Cheyenne looked different from Denver...different food stores, different stop lights, different gas station names...now America looks generic end to end...same old McDonalds, Home Depot, Target, Starbucks, etc grid, cookie cutter stamped across the country except for a few square miles here and there ( NYC and New Orleans come to mind).

He hails from the same part of Glasgow that I came from and he has the edge on Ian aka polite Edinburgh Boy Besides we've already had a weird, wacky dressed one i61.images obliterated by tinypic/s4x993.jpg[/IMG] who turned into a weird,Aqualung in the Woods type i57.images obliterated by tinypic/4pvx38.png[/IMG] and one who played the flute i60.images obliterated by tinypic/2ebfgpd.png[/IMG]
