In 1979 "Salem's Lot", American two-part miniseries based on the horror novel of the same name by Stephen King, concludes in the United States. I remember watching that on TV, I had to sneak and watch it being only ten. This scene, probably of ALL of them freaked me out the most! The double dread of "he's floating" coupled with "don't let him in!"

On this Day November 30, 2019 by Lukas Was Four years ago today since I met Ian Anderson, leader of the legendary group Jethro Tull. Not the first time and not the last time. I was in a good mood by the wonderful hospitality of Rafał Wysocki and Ewka in the German-idyllic Zornheim under Mogunce, the unusual atmosphere of Christmas fairs and delicious schnitzel at the restaurant Waldgeist zur Eisernen Hand ("Spirits of the Forest") in the Wiesbaden area. After dinner I took the train to Frankfurt am Main, looking forward to another Jethro Tull Christmas concert. Around St. Mary's Church Catherine, numerous Christmas stands, people's taboons, carols were ringing, horned cars, concrete "anti-terrorist" dams, ubiquitous police, noise. All the Tull musicians have already managed to enter the temple. Apart from the most important thing. It was almost 4:30 pm, it was half dark, I waited for nearly two hours, I was cold, I was losing hope. Suddenly a met German JT fan gave me a sign. Gave him a look. It was headed in our direction. Mr. Ian Anderson. He was carrying some luggage Probably an acoustic guitar, flute and mandolin. And maybe some more personal things. I don't know. It was all about so short. The artist walked fast in a certain step, with a celebrity pose, all dressed in black, with a tassel on his head. He looked like a ghost from thriller land or a wizard... To complete drama, the frightened crows were running from under his feet... Ian was completely outsmarting us, three devoted fans; he was staring at the "deadlock", accelerating the pace. Eventually stopped at the side entrance of the church. "But I'll only sign one thing for everyone. " Me to “no autographs, just a quick selfie, a few seconds, please”. Forgot to set the reverse lens feature on my phone. "Sorry, I am too excited." Finally we succeeded, what is the effect you can see on the photo. Less than four years later, in September this year, the Rock Flute Master signed this selfie in other - family-friendly, sunny and still summery circumstances of the main market in Bydgoszcz, on Sunday afternoon. I spotted Anderson in the crowd and moments after, I caught him with my mom and Kasia with her shaking hands. And when I noticed that, my hands started shaking. There's a saying, "never meet your idols". Who is afraid of disappointment, apply this principle. When deciding to stalk Ian, you have to expect that he will probably be in a hurry, won't hide his rudeness and rather won't invite you to an Indian restaurant. Well, the great artists need to be forgiven. Listen to Tull's magnum opus "Thick As A Brick" and be convinced by my thesis with this 43 minutes of an extraordinary musical journey.
Ambitious, progressive but with a lot of humor.
