John Miles - April 23 1949 - December 5 2021 Nice to hear that old song again, I remember it well, I always thought it was something of a masterpiece, so different to all the pop stuff that was rife at the time. It was a one hit wonder though, and I don't remember hearing anything else by him, or if they were a touring band? Guess I have no excuse, I'll have to google it.. Thanks for the music John

Just looked up wiki....John toured with Tull... From wiki... The relative success in the US charts led to Miles supporting Elton John on his tour.[18][35] Miles and his band would go on to tour with other famous artists, such as Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull[35] and the Rolling Stones.[36]In 1978, Miles was invited to appear on the BBC Sight and Sound in Concert programme which was simultaneously on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 2 on 11 March 1978.[37]

How sad.
The wonderful Mike Nesmith (his mum invented Tipexx) has passed on.
From summer holiday mornings with The Monkees (we all did 'that' walk!), to discovering his later, solo, work, it's been a blast.

People my age should get an automatic day off when a Monkee dies. Talk about confronting mortality, The TV show was sponsored by acne cures. Nowadays, I am using anti eye wrinkle (placebo) creams.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Eric Burdon says he met Ronnie Spector, in a Harlem nightclub, his first few days in NYC and was speechless and lovestruck. Not a shy guy and got in shouting matches with all kinds of blues and soul artists who accused him and his ilk of stealing their music....and he defended his role in spreading their fame and talent, but around Ronnie Spector he could not even produce a sentence.

Ian McDonald on stage with King Crimson in 1974 Musician Ian McDonald, a founding member of the bands King Crimson and Foreigner, has died at the age of 75. McDonald co-wrote and played the keyboards and saxophone that were at the heart of King Crimson's debut album In the Court of the Crimson King. Rolling Stone described the 1969 LP as "prog rock's big bang". He then formed Foreigner, with whom he also played guitar on classic songs like Cold As Ice, Feels Like The First Time and Double Vision in the late 70s. But the Middlesex-born musician left before the group went on to enjoy hits in the 80s with Waiting for a Girl Like You and I Want to Know What Love Is. As a session musician, McDonald also played on records including the T. Rex album Electric Warrior, including the hit Get It On.
