Hello fellow Tull fans- first post here so I decided to introduce myself. I have always liked music since an early age, but when I first heard Jethro Tull when I was 11 years old, the meaning of music and my appreciation of it jumped to a new level. JT got me into a whole new genre of music: rock. My horizons opened up from there and I am now a musician, largely due to listening to Tull and the other rock bands that I discovered because of Tull (e.g. Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush etc). My main instrument is the guitar, but I also play flute, drums, whistle, harmonica, a bit of keyboard, and I am getting started playing bass and mandolin as well. While I love most rock music, Jethro Tull remains the closest to my heart; maybe its because of its medieval influences (I love the middle ages), or maybe its just because it sort of started my musical life off. One way or another, I'm a Tull fan through and through. I joined the forum because, unfortunately, I don't know enough other Tull fans, and I need some people to discuss JT with. -Dragon

Plenty of members here to talk Tull with and plenty to see so have a good look around the place and enjoy. As for your query about tin whistles, there are plenty of flute players here who may well be able to answer your question.

Welcome...Omniverous rock fans most appreciated...I can't say I like 9/10...too much I don't like, find pretentious, unoriginal, plastic or self-absorbed...but I like A LOT...and from all eras and styles.....my all time and current favroties never fail to surprise people who think they can predict someone's tastes by age, favorite band or other superficial factors. Tull always and forever in a class of it's own.
