Proboards have indicated that there have been problems of non-loading or slow-loading forums and that they are aware of this and are working to resolve the problem.
Six hours ago they issued this statement
"All forums should be loading at this time. This includes those forums which were previously affected by the extended outage. We are aware they are still performing slowly at times however."

Following a request to reinstate the "like" button, this facility is now available again for members.
This now means that the buttons at the top of each post are now to be found on the right hand side and includes the "like" button.
The names of Forum members who use the "like" button will now appear on the left hand side at the top of the post.

Our "friends" the trolls and hackers are feeling bored after Christmas. Proboards have reported the following on the PB system, 27 December 2014:
At approx midnight UK time:
We're currently working to mitigate a DDoS attack, during which time forums may be unreachable. Please stand by for updates.
And a short time later:
Forums seem to be loading at this time, though the denial-of-service attack may still be underway. We're currently focused on minimizing the impact on users.
Forums are loading and the attack seems to have ceased. We're still keeping a watchful eye.

Proboards have been made aware of the technical problem which may be affecting most of their hosted sites. This is in the Statistics area and concerns the logging of members names when on line.
Proboards boffins have been made aware and they are attempting a remedy.

From Proboards admin:
We're aware of an issue at the moment that may cause some content to not appear. This is affecting some forums on one server, and our system admins are looking into the issue now for all affected forums. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause in the meantime while we work on this.
Just to add, to alleviate any concerns for those affected: we do have continuous backups of all forums, so any content currently missing on your forum should be restored once we've been able to correct the cause of the issue.

As of the early hours here in the UK (22/10/17), Proboards were subject to a worldwide Distributed Denial of Service caused by malicious activity, usually connected to trolls, hackers and other clowns.
From Proboards admin:
Hello, We've been the target of some very large scale DDoS attacks today. We are continuing to work on and monitor the situation. Thank you for your patience. Patrick
