I sold him $14.75 worth of lemonade at a baseball game about 10 years ago....told him i was doing a hospital internship in a psychiatric ward and that his depiction of a schizophrenic person in 'The Fisher King' was absolutely amazing and accurate. 'Thanks Buddy', he said...and he let me keep the 25 cents change. Tears of a Clown when there's no one around ?

I may have gone out of the scope of "quote" but it's a good one! --Ron--
Which Are You? by Anonymous I watched them tear a building down; A gang of men in a busy town. With a mighty heave and a lusty yell, They swung a boom and a side wall fell.
I said to the foreman, "Are these men skilled As the men you'd hire if you had to build?" He gave me a laugh and said, "No indeed! Just a common laborer is all I need. And I can wreck in a day or two What it took the builder a year to do."
And I thought to myself as I went my way, "Just which of these roles have I tried to play? Am I a builder who works with care Measuring life by the rule and square, Or am I a wrecker as I walk the town Content with the labor of tearing down?"

Just a few of the late Sir Bobby Robson's quotes. "He never fails to hit the target. But that was a miss."
"Eighteen months ago Sweden were arguably one of the best three teams in Europe, and that would include Germany, Holland, Russia and anybody else if you like."
"We can't replace Gary Speed. Where do you get an experienced player like him with a left foot and a head?"
"Gary Speed has never played better, never looked fitter, never been older."
“Alan Shearer has done very well for us, considering his age. We have introduced some movement into his game because he has got two good legs now. Last season he played with one leg.”
"People want success. It's like coffee, they want instant."
“Well, we got nine and you can't score more than that.”
“They're two points behind us, so we're neck and neck.”

Jethro Tull Fan Forum – Moderators Meeting (plus special guest)*
Maddog: Item six on the agenda: "The Meaning of Tull" Now uh, Steel, you've had some thoughts on this.
Steel Monkey: Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts.
One: People aren't wearing enough hats.
Two: Tull is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this "soul" does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.
Non Rabbit: What was that about hats again?
Steel Monkey: Oh, Uh... people aren't wearing enough.
Maddog: Is this true?
Bunkerfan: Certainly. Hat sales have increased but not pari passu, as our research……
Non Rabbit: [Interrupting] "Not wearing enough"? enough for what purpose?
Owd*: Can I just ask, with reference to your second point, when you say souls don't develop because people become distracted... [looking out window]
Owd*: Has anyone noticed that building there before?

NICE! Mirror Spock: One man cannot summon the future. James T. Kirk: But one man can change the present. There is lots of good stuff coming from especially Spock, Kirk and Bones... Sometimes the show is silly, funny, strange, and sometimes it's deeper that deep... To boldly go as no man has gone before, seems to be a good way to travel for any wannabe explorer... (... but watch out for the land mines, and do not, under no circumstances, beam down to the surface of any planet together with captain James T. Kirk. It's simply too dangerously... )

Love the uke! Diggin' the song! Thanks for sharing that nonrabbit! And I agree Equus! I'm a big TOS fan. --Ron-- I have all of the Original Series. The first time I saw Star Trek was around 1974... (...am I getting old...? ) I saw it on German television. They have never shown it on Danish television... Much later, I bought the whole thing on DVD, and I used to watch the show together with my youngest daughter, Sofie. I would read the Danish subtitles aloud, and she just loved it... (..but not anymore... ) Those times are gone when we would sing along with the intro... in high pitched voices... (... crazy, but fun...) yes, try to sing along with the opera singer... So, if anyone would like to try this, here's your chance... Start from 0:30 and give it a go... The more you are, the sillier...
