(second the notion that auto-updates of online search engines can be less than ideal. I search for AECL for updates on a very bogus nuclear power outfit, but instead often get updates on the Australian Egg Council, for omelette that's worth)

Drunk found in car said he was doing 'public service' Published: 28 Nov 2014 14:00 more: www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/portglasgow/articles/2014/11/28/517475-drunk-found-in-car-said-he-was-doing-public-service/He told Sheriff Ian Anderson: “If you accept that he is telling the truth, it would be very unfortunate if he were to lose his licence whilst acting in a public-spirited way.” The court heard that jobless dad-of-two Vickers is currently living in homeless accommodation in Glasgow. Sheriff Anderson told him: “I find your explanation highly unlikely.” Vickers, of Edinbeg Avenue, Glasgow, also had 10 penalty points put on his previously unblemished driving licence.

Exhibit of paintings by Ian Anderson...In science fiction, a “pocket universe” refers to a world that fits into a larger frame or device. The term can describe an actual miniature universe that could fit into your pocket, a nano-existence just beyond a microscope or a world nesting within another. Artist Ian Anderson Ian Anderson studied art at Otis College in California and the Glassell School of Art in Houston. He lived in Los Angeles for five years, working in animation and painting custom tiles. For Anderson, art is a form of storytelling, and he is currently drawn to science fiction. He is inspired by quantum mechanics and modern theories in science and enjoys expressing these new ideas with an old medium – oil paint.

I think I watched this for about 2 minutes before it was "Time to say goodbye". Is he reading a newspaper while singing?

Interesting, if accurate, the the brand X Ian was born exactly 15 days before Party Leader. Yeah it's the other Ian Anderson, middle initial A, who has always blamed Ian Anderson, middle initial S, for being kicked off the Island Record's roster back in '69 (about then anyway). www.folkradio.co.uk/2018/11/ian-andersons-country-blues-band-stereo-death-breakdown/Ian Anderson’s Country Blues Band – Stereo Death BreakdownGhosts From The Basement – 9 October 2018A vinyl record can become rare, collectable and sought after for a wide variety of reasons. High on the list will be the label it’s released on, particularly if it’s an enterprise known to be run by music lovers and relied upon as a trademark of quality. Blue Note and Atlantic fall into this category as does the label that this record was originally set to be issued on in early 1969, Island Records. During this period, they sourced some of the most exciting and diverse music of the era, including the ground-breaking Folk-Rock of Fairport Convention and the Psychedelic progressions of Traffic and Jethro Tull. They also had Nick Drake on the books, which these days doesn’t look too bad at all. So, for a fledgeling Country-Blues aficionado like Ian Anderson, finding his feet as a singer/guitarist on this evolving British scene, to be snapped up and primed for a debut album release on Island was a fantastic achievement. And so, this album was recorded in November 1968. Early in 1969 Island issued a classic sampler LP called ‘You Can All Join In’ with the cover featuring a collective group photo taken in Hyde Park. You can see Ian Anderson prominently in the second row, suggesting that a track from his soon-to-be-released debut recording was going to appear on the LP. You can also see, in the back row, the other Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull. This transpired to be fatally problematic for the artist behind ‘Stereo Death Breakdown’, later to be known as Ian A. Anderson to avoid further confusion. Jethro Tull’s management were fearful that the identical names would be a major issue (quite ironic when you consider that most casual observers assumed the bands singer was called Jethro Tull) and so the country blues of Ian Anderson was hastily offered a label transfer. Article in fullAnd as an aside to the above, I did meet a guy at a record fair in Sutton, Surrey, and who will remain nameless, who swore blind that Ian S. Anderson and Ian A. Anderson were one and the same person. After trying to convince him otherwise with no success, I left him to his quest to find Ian A. Anderson's records and beat a hasty retreat with my swag bag.

'All Is True': Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench and Ian McKellen - Three Great Shakespeareans - in a Glowing Tribute to Shakespeare HimselfBy Kurt Loder May 10, 2019 6 Min Read link"Adorned with an enhanced nose and facial hair that gives him, at some angles, the beardy mien of Jethro Tull singer Ian Anderson, Branagh generously underplays the part of Shakespeare, allowing the movie's other two key performers — Judi Dench, as Anne Hathaway, and Ian McKellen, as the Earl of Southampton — to shine brightly."

Ian Anderson bolsters case as fast-rising Braves prospect LINK 1 LINK 2 Anderson, who will play in next month’s Futures Game in connection with the All-Star game in Cleveland, lowered his ERA to 2.94. The 21-year-old is knocking on the door of a promotion, and once he’s at Triple-A Gwinnett, a call-up feels conceivable at any time, especially with how aggressive the Braves have been in relying on their youth.

www.theguardian.com/music/2020/jan/07/folk-music-is-still-living-in-the-presentFolk music is still living in the presentLetters Tue 7 Jan 2020 18.22 GMTLast modified on Tue 7 Jan 2020 18.35 GMT Ian Anderson (centre) performing in Jethro Tull. Photograph: Gai Terrell/RedfernsNo, Sue Grainger (Letters, 6 January), the Ian Anderson who wrote about the lack of British folk music in the new music list for 2020 wasn’t the one who was in Jethro Tull. It was the Ian Anderson who deserves our thanks for editing and producing the excellent Folk Roots magazine (latterly fRoots) which sadly closed last year after 40 years. Without Mr Anderson’s efforts many of us would not have become as enthusiastic about world and folk music or, as he called it, “local music from out there”. Toby Wood Peterborough, Cambridgeshire• Folk music “living in the past”? What rot. The songs of Robb Johnson, Leon Rosselson, Steve White, Grace Petrie, Joe Solo, Jim Woodland and many others have more to say about present-day social and political issues than anything in the charts.
