Значительную часть оперы составляют старые, хотя и переработанные, композиции Jethro Tull, такие как "Locomotive Breath", "Heavy Horses", "Farm on the Freeway", "Aqualung" и "Living In the Past". Для некоторых песен были написаны новые тексты - под сюжет всего произведения. Новый материал также присутствует. Гастроли начнутся в сентябре, хотя пока никакого конкретного расписания не представлено. JETHRO TULL EVENTS: Here was a manIan Anderson announced the imminent start touring shows his new rock opera "Jethro Tull: The Rock Opera" . Group Jethro Tull, most of the material for which all life is Anderson wrote ( Ian Anderson ), was named for Jethro Tull - scientist and agriculture, who lived in England at the turn of XVII-XVIII centuries and became famous for the invention of an improved model of the plow-drill. The design of this device is used the principle of operation of a musical instrument - the body. It is about the life of metal and is told in a new rock opera, although the action is transferred to the relatively recent past. Constitute a significant part of the old Opera, though processed, composition Jethro Tull, such as "Locomotive Breath", "Heavy Horses", "Farm on the Freeway", "Aqualung" and "Living In the Past" . For some of the songs were written new texts - to the scene of the whole work. The new material is also present. The tour will begin in September, although there is no specific timetable has been submitted.

The Russian word up there translated as 'man', Chelovek...is more like 'fellow' or 'dude'. Most of my Russian vocabulary comes from nadsat....Clockwork orange lingo...where the shortened version of chelovek, 'vek'...is used a lot !

December 21, 2014 "In this form, a world premiere" Wuppertal LINK
John O'Hara (l.) And Ian Anderson in rapt conversation atmosphere. But the laptop on the table suggests - right then worked again ...
It is the concert highlight of 2015 @ the Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal. Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson playing in April at three successive evenings together with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra and the choir of Barmen Gemarke. Rundschau editorial director Hendrik Walder spoke with flute legend Ian Anderson and keyboardist John O'Hara.
Question: Are you concerned already mentally with the appearance in Wuppertal?
Ian Anderson: Oh yeah, just today we want to define some important parts of the choral parts. Finally, it is our first concert with a large choir.
John O'Hara: That's a bit of a challenge. Our choir experiences related so far primarily on concerts with a singer Sextet in churches at Christmas time. But here to act with 80 singers, that's something else entirely. The choir will get from us material that was composed and arranged especially for the performances in Wuppertal. There are therefore world performances ...
Anderson: You will even have to sing some sections solo or with very sparse accompaniment. One of our very well-known pieces will initially only be made by the choir. Pianissimo and in very mysterious manner ...
Question: A challenge for the much vaunted acoustics of the town hall. Do you know them?
Anderson: I've heard it is very beautiful. I hope above all, it sounds better than the Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House in it. Their problems are often caused by that one has tried to combine acoustic and optical architecture together. That does not work.
Question: Is there already Sheet material?
O'Hara: Indeed. We Wolfgang Kläsener, choir director, already sent some pieces. And we gave him on the way that the choir is to swing really.
Question: They are direct not classic in the evenings?
O'Hara: No, I'm sitting at the keyboard and would occasionally give a hand and his head a little inserts or rhythmic notes.
Anderson: The orchestra will act quite independently. You should anticipate the music and feel, not always follow the instructions of a conductor. Best of all, if John does not have to intervene great, but only if it is absolutely necessary. But how this works, we will actually find only at the first rehearsal ...
You are already often occurred with orchestral accompaniment ...
Anderson: Yes, with some very good - and some not so good. I always feel it is important that you are curious about each other mutually, to the music and how to implement them. I for one will always discover something new and learn. So I think it would be great if the saw similar for the Wuppertal musicians.
Anyway, they have enjoyed the first edition of "Rock meets Classic" with Procol Harum much.
Anderson: That can always help. Our music is rhythmically very often idiosyncratic interspersed with many syncope, which increases the musical tension.
Question: Thus, the orchestra of this unusual use and benefit?
Anderson: That is certainly our goal - also in terms of the audience. For example, we often already making music in Canterbury Cathedral, usually at Christmas time. Many people who go so there are not necessarily typical churchgoers. This also applies to our concerts with orchestra accompaniment. We want visitors to do so curious on their local orchestra. It is not our intention, to persuade them to Christianity or to classical music - they should just interpret "their" church, "their" local musician perceive, support and value.
Question: Have you made a playlist?
O'Hara: We will go straight through, and it is not an easy job. In fact, it is not that we simply add our pieces to orchestral and choral elements. Rather, we reduce the candidate pieces on melody and basic harmonies and build the new arrangements on it.
Question: This then also for the group members a conversion?
Anderson: A very large even. It does not move only in his own comfort zone in which you can easily respond to the other band members. In this complex composition you have to play quietly and listen.
That's pretty hard for a drummer or electric guitarists.
Anderson: That's why we'll probably use a drum Electronic kit with which we can control the volume balance better. For me, however, it is no big change. I play flute and acoustic guitar, so I'm never too loud ...
According to this criterion is not in a Jethro Tull concert ...
Anderson: No, rock music should not be continuous loud. One does not attract the attention of the audience in which you turn the volume knob. The power of music is measured according to the rhythm and intensity of the performance and not according to the highest possible decibel values. Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson & band with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra & the choir Barmen-Gemarke on April 10 (Friday), April 11 (Saturday) and 12 April 2015 (Sunday) by 20 clock. (Out of many) cards are available from the Ticket Office and www.stadthalle.de

In the first part of the technically complex production experience viewers based on excerpts from "Homo Erraticus" a first "fast forward through British history from ancient times almost to the Future" (Giessen General). This is like "with its mix of spoken word, singing, music, the visual interaction and a musical concert stick" (Giessen Gazette).
In the second part of the evening served Ian Anderson Jethro Tull hits of the early era not only in Bonn, there was applause, "as the first sounds of, Too old to rock 'n' roll, too young to die" rang " (Rhein-Sieg indicator). The multidimensional nature of the program was the composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist obvious: "You must now work much harder to make the show entertaining. As adults, we also tend to like to listen to music that we know. We try to reach a compromise. The first 40 percent of the show dedicated to the new album, the other 60 percent a Best Of Jethro Tull's "(Audiophile).
Fans can watch the video projection thanks to the latest contemporary song-illustrated section on pre-sale prices between 40 and 70 euros (excl. Fee). www.blickamabend.ch/Festival in Arbon Summer Days relies on tried and tested03/11/2015 With Sunrise Avenue, Deep Purple and Ian Anderson occur three acts on the second time in the Arbon quay site. Valentin Schneeberger ArticleThe big surprise has failed. While the organizers last year could end up with a coup Jamiroquai, the line-up of the 7th Summer Days Festival in Arbon without a real hit. Instead, set on 28 and 29 August filmed before. The Finnish pop rock band Sunrise Avenue, the veterans of Deep Purple and flute virtuoso Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull: They were all already in the quays on the stage. Are the operators become more restrained? "We have this year a few highlights in the program," says Chairman Cyril Stadler to view in the evening. Jan Delay sets the final pointHe is particularly pleased at the appearance of the British Alan Parson on Friday. "He was a sound engineer at the most important albums of the Beatles and applies to me as a high-caliber." The return of Deep Purple to Arbon counts for Stadler of the highlights. "For a classic rock night they are simply part of." On Saturday, the program is as usual challenged by younger bands. First comes Schaffhausen folk band The Gardener & The Tree. Later follow Müslüm, the German-Ghanaian singer Y'akoto and the chart-topping Milky Chance. The year will end Jan Delay and his band Disko No. First Cooperation with partner festivalNot found on the program's Bryan Adams. In recent days, a rumor made the rounds, the Canadian singer would come to Arbon. Whether Adams was on the wish list of the organizers, Cyril Stadler can not be drawn. Only this: ". Bryan Adams would fit perfectly on Summer Days" Maybe it works, 2016. To the festival for international acts in the future to make it even more attractive, the organizers have announced a collaboration with the Summer Nights Festival in Sigmaringen (D).

www.muzika.hr/Ian Anderson in the rock opera dedicated to the British farmer Jethro Tull02/23/2015. @ 14:52 LINKThe leader of Jethro Tull Ian Anderson announced plans for a special tour, which will be dedicated to the real figure, the English farmer from the 17th and 18th centuries , according to which this great British band named. " Jethro Tull: The Rock Opera "will be a demanding project with theater production, and will tell the story of the said farmer imaginary as it takes place in the near future. Performances will include the song Jethro Tull such as "Heavy Horses", "Farm On The Freeway", "A New Day Yesterday", "The Witch's Promise" and "Locomotive Breath", and with the worked texts, to make it all together seemed as credible. With Ian will perform bassist David Goodier, keyboardist John O'Hara, guitarist Florian Opah and drummer Scott Hammond, plus visiting musicians. The tour will begin in September in the UK, and continues for performances in Russia, the rest of Europe, and by the end of the year the plan is to South America. One thing that always leaves stunned, having to do with Ian, it is its capacity, or ability, to which people are concerned. I mean, Acoustic Tour, Christmas Concerts, concert photos that look like Musical with a help on stage, Ryan O'Donnell, the best of JT, and now, a ROCK OPERA!! It's impossible to get bored with Ian Anderson ...

Just some Jethro Tull Ag-man comments: 1) Here's his publication to download and read: archive.org/details/horsehoeinghusba00tull2) Is there a common Jethro Tull reference British people use other than Wikipedia, for all things Jethroish? Some standard British history text or novel or burlesque treatise on the matter of common reference and morning meditations? 3) Will there be a new album to match this "Jethro Tull Opera" tour, featuring at least 7 new songs and the associated alterations to previously released ones, in order to qualify as a "not just a reissue event"? 4) Were fields around the setting of any major British novel plowed and seeded using instruments or techniques directly invented or influenced by Jethro Tull the rock band? 5) Are there any Jethro Tull (band) lyrics directly ripped off from Jethro Tull's (agrogenius) previously released manuals on how to get that agricultural stuff done better? 6) What musical instruments were really popular at pubs in the days of Jethro Tull the agrogenius? (He died in 1741, so the Moog is not one of them. Let's hope is was the banjo!!!)

Ian Anderson prepares rock opera Posted on: 2015-03-11(0) komentara Tireless Ian Anderson , who was 40-something years reassure everyone that we can not too old to rock and roll, if you're too young to die, preparing a brand new project for the fall of 2015. True to the conceptual tradition of the seventies and the last solo recordings, the veteran will present rock opera based on the life of a real historical figure Jethro Tull - one of the people with the greatest contribution to the mechanization of agriculture and the inventor of the seed drill in the XVIII century. Mr. Anderson has found a lot of similarities between the biography of old Jethro and the texts of the group took its name 200 years later, and promises a true multimedia performance.
