Hey I'm all about some Black Oak Arkansas--just released a new album in fact, first one in a while. Rock and Roll comes from many places including Black Oak ArkansasMaybe some guys just don't like it because it's too loud or they are too old? I say Louder Please....

I'm from North Carolina! Born here, lived here all my life, and although I can't see into the future, I will probably die here. It is my home; full of beautiful places and amazing people, from the coast to the mountains and everywhere in betweeen.
I just felt like I needed to say that for some reason.

This country is mostly about lots of rain, and rain, and "wonderful" shades of gray...! Couldn't they have settled somewhere warm? Italy... Spain?? North Carolina would be on my list of places to be! I love so many places...a top ten would have ten more bubbling under. I love:
San Francisco Hamburg NYC Berlin Paris Denver Santa Rosalia, Mexico Los Angeles Portland El Paso
I love all of Mexico, France, Germany minus Bavaria, Colorado and a Greek Island called Samos. I hate: Phoenix, Texas and Brazil

Orignally from East Anglia, I now live in Evesham in the ancient kingdom of the Hwicce en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HwicceFrom whence some argue we get the words witch and wiccan and indeed the origins of the wiccan religion ...... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tribe_of_WitchesToday, our bestest talent is surely my friend Hannah who released her first album last year hanna-h-music.co.uk/music/However, my spiritual home is LA aka Lochailort in the West Highlands of Scotland, home to the great singer songwriter (and another old friend) Jim Hunter

She loves her hats doesn't she. Nice horse though We get visits from Chaz now and again - completely shuts all the roads in the area and Special Branch are out in force at least 3 days before he makes a visit. You can always tell them apart from the locals even when they're in plain clothes - they're the ones with the highly polished doc marten boots.

This is an attempt to revive the where are you from Thread... Mostly because there's a lot of new members on the J.T. Forum... Pondus is for example from Norway... I came across this little weird video: "S h i t Danish people say to foreigners..." So now you're warned!! Don't come to Denmark! It's wet, wet, wet... and cold... and someone will probably try to teach you how to say... Rød grød med fløde... but the Remoulade is really good...

It's true that when it comes to weather, nothing beats my beloved Spain, I know that when I move abroad I'll moan and whine about it quite a lot. The sky is so blue right now

Personally I regard all foreigners, that I meet in Denmark as personal visitors... If I meet a foreigner, I do my best to treat them well... Most Danes want you to have a good time when you are here, and will (hopefully) do their best to make you feel good... When I was in London a few years ago I was treated extremely well... That was simply wild... London Rocks! Thank you England! The summer was good this year. In Denmark that is. So that was nice... We had the warmest July in 140 years, and the summer just went on and on... (I just have to thank the Chinese now... Thank you for vigorously adding to the global warming... ) I have never been to Spain, but would love to visit in the future... but money is running low... That's right China! Exercise is "always" good for your health... cough, cough...

The north/ north-west of Spain is such an unknown place for many, and yet so beautiful. It's kinda celtic, I guess... I mean, the music is similar, the landscapes are so green... and it rains quite a lot, I'm afraid. Where I come from, well, it's sun and heat, we get to 45 celsius under the SHADOW in summer (not every day, though ) and there's a bit arabic legacy, after all they were in my hometown for 500 years. I hope you have the chance to go one day, you won't regret it! Oh, and you're right about Danes, I met my best Danish friend when I was traveling around Europe, and well, the story is long, but the bottom line is that the's a real sweetheart , wonderful person.

I just rediscovered this old Thread of mine, and I thought that it would be kind of nice to hear something about where some of the newcomers on this magnificent Jethro Tull forum are from, or anyone else... Maybe you have a little story about the place that you live... bring it on, and remember to eat Remoulade, or else...
