Hello all - I'm new to the board despite being a long time reader of its content.
I've loved Tull for about 30 years after seeing Witch's Promise on a TOTP retrospective show.
I went out and bought Stand Up purely on the strength of how hippyish the band looked and the wonderful (and spooky) cover.
Since then worked my way through all the albums and have been lucky enough to see the band live about 6 times, first at Milton Keynes bowl at the Marillion 'Welcome to the Garden Party' event.
Years later, I'm able to look back over my collection and have come to the conclusion that really for me the band's golden era ended at Stormwatch although I do love a handful of tunes from the later albums.
My fav albums though really run from Stand Up to Minstrel.
I've learnt loads about the band thanks to the forum and look forward to (hopefully) contributing in the future!

Hello and a warm welcome to The Jethro Tull Forum canguru. Look forward to reading your contributions to The Forum and to comment on your thoughts about IA's hand gestures on the Home video, I really don't know unless it was of course that both he and Martin were beginning to get a receding hairline ? Possibly I suppose Quite a few Forum members were at the Milton Keynes Bowl event back in June of 1986 and many suffered from the blazing hot day with no shade ! You'll find the "Fish 'n' Sheep & Rock 'n' Roll" videos, featuring some of the MK Bowl gig here jethrotull.proboards.com/thread/1380/fish-sheep-rock-rollMD

Ha! Love the pic! Thanks for welcome - sadly I had to go to Milton Keynes on my own (none of my friends were into any of the bands on). Apart from the excitement of seeing Tull for the first time my over riding memory of the day is that my plastic (not leather) shoes virtually melting in the blazing heat. I was able to spot myself in the crowd during the Fish n Sheep documentary when I recorded it off the TV years ago but on watching it several times on Youtube I'm sadly no where to be seen!

Keep looking, keep looking..... for it'll turn up somewhere... Hello Canguru (love the name) Welcome to the Forum I didn't go to MK Bowl although I have been to MK - the Las Vegas of Bucks! A local band where I live - rural Ireland played at that gig - Mamas Boys don't know if you remember them. Look forward to your contribution to the Forum Cheers nonrabbit
