"I first played with him in 2009 at a benefit concert in Háskólabíó cinema in Reykjavik and then again at Harpa concert hall
this summer. We have always kept in touch and he had volunteered to work on something with me ," said Unnur Birna.
The song was written in Italy where Unnur was living for six months in 2012.
"I just sat there on the balcony strumming a 40 euro guitar. There was a small and incredibly cute girl running around
on the ground floor and she was just so full of happiness and sunshine - the song really just spun out of this scenario.
I just wanted to do something simple with a catchy melody."
Unnur says the opportunity to get to work with Anderson unique.
"He is incredibly friendly and just absolutely a fantastic man." The song was recorded in various places.
The majority was recorded by Vignir Snaer Vigfusson, producer and recording engineer,
in E7 studio out by the Reykjavik harbor.
Unnur's father, Bjorn Thorarinsson, played a Hammond organ in a local live venue, Graeni Hatturinn (The Green Hat)
in Akureyri and the master himself, Ian Anderson, added his touch at his home studio in the UK.
