Mick Softley suffered a brain haemorrage a few weeks ago, is still in hospital and making a slow recovery. A friend of mine has started a facebook page for Mick and his music. Mick Softley, on his own behest, decided to drop out of the music business yoinks ago however his songs and albums remain in circulation and have become collectors items. The facebook page has uncovered musicians who worked alongside him in the past and shared his wild and wonderful travels en-gb.facebook.com/pages/Mick-Softley/181116921931702?v=infoGet well soon Mick And from me as well.

Mick's still progressing well. My friends still visit it him regularly despite a round trip to Derry which takes a good while and plenty petrol. He is still playing the ukelelue that Paul Moore - the travelling Ukelelules for Peace minstrel gave him on his last visit www.ukulelesforpeace.com/

By way of some trivia a couple of things which may be of interest:- 1. Just finished reading Martin Turner's autobiography "No Easy Road" (of Wishbone Ash fame). Back in 2002 he was in a band called The Blue Bishops & they made an album called "Deep". To quote from the book " We also had Martin Barre from Jethro Tull guest with us on one track - a really super guy & a fantastic player." 2. There's a new album out from Julian Lennon called "Everything Changes" & the producer is Peter Vettesse.
Apologies if either of these have been posted previously...

There's reference to the album "Deep" on the internet but I can't find out which track MB played on and also that Mr. Noyce played on the album as well and that it was recorded at MB's studio.Anyone here got the album?
