Jim That looks like a very interesting playlist. It will be added to my favourite's bar forthwith. Thanks for posting. Graham Ian is a young Tull Fan and flute player from West Virginia. Very open minded and un-jaded too! His knowledge of old and new prog is much better than mine. I was amazed to listen on Thursday night!~ This Chat Group also included a member of Echolyn... Chris Buzby – keyboards, vocals en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echolyn Here is the internet radio link... www.loudcity.com/stations/progrock-com

Thanks for the shout out, Jim!
Also, I'm looking for some promo spots to play during the show. All I want is for you to record yourself saying, "Hi I'm _____ from _____ and you are listening to Prog Rock Deep Cuts with Ian Beabout". Jim recorded a really great one with some Tull music behind it! If you are interested, please PM me.

Adrift and Dumbfounded is a very cool and unlikely choice. I also like the Rush songs being spotlighted in these playlists. Leave That Thing Alone is probably my favorite instrumental by anybody, ever.

This week will be even stranger, even more obscure. I used the longer runtime to go a little more 'out there' ... just like the double LP's of old! I want to play the songs that no one else will.

Here in the UK we have a rather wonderful digital station called BBC 6 Music which, because it has no sponsors/adverts etc, has quite an eclectic playlist and one of the best programmes is Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone where he gets to play a lot of music that otherwise wouldn't get a chance on mainstream radio. Not sure if this link will work in the US but if it does have a look here www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b02zbzmwOf interest to Tull fans he interviewed IA some time ago about TAAB2 and also occasionally plays a Tull track on this programme and also on a couple of others he presents. Worthy of a listen if only to hear music you wouldn't hear elsewhere. Link to the TAAB2 interview, sadly no longer available as a "listen again" but proof if it was needed of Stuart's programming. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01g9dbw

At Oberlin College, in the middle of corn fields in Ohio, 1975 was really about 1969. Plenty of weed, frisbee, easily parodied political correctness and pretty much the inmates in charge of the asylum.

At Oberlin College, in the middle of corn fields in Ohio, 1975 was really about 1969. Plenty of weed, frisbee, easily parodied political correctness and pretty much the inmates in charge of the asylum. Sounds like a great time! Last year during the early Spring months, we lost power on campus and my school turned into pretty much the same atmosphere. My buddy grabbed his guitar, I grabbed my flute, and we met up with a bluegrass guy who was playing violin and mando. We jammed for hours while other people played frisbee and a couple of guys juggled. A guy dressed completely in black and wearing a fedora walked up to me and said, "Mind if I spin to your music?". Of course, I said "Well, sure!" and he broke out a pair of socks with tennis balls in the toes and spins them around him like a circus performer! Afterwards, this scary looking goth guy walked up to me and said, "You are f***ing amazing on that flute!" Without a doubt, my best day of college yet!
