Spare me a futile trip to Canada, John...I'm 5'7"....165lbs...not gym guy strong but not mashed potato muscles either...so do you think I'd be tough enough to overpower you and your wife, force you into a car and into the venue, strap you into seats, apply 'clockwork orange eye thingies' and enjoy the gig by your side or would my ass get kicked beyond the capacity of my cut rate health insurance? Freaking funny! Here's a hint, you'll be wearing the 'clockwork orange eye thingies'. I've got about 222 replies to this. We could pen a TV series in the style of Seinfeld.

I would like to say that I was one who thought Tull without Martin was not possible, I had a hard time accepting it, did not want to see Anderson's band, without Martin, but finally my Tull heart was stronger than my head, after 1st concert in Sant Feliu, my doubts disappeared, that great concert! I totally agree with Jim, I enjoy Tull now without getting into comparisons, I have attended two concerts of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, and say that I have not bored as in recent years Tull, I also believe that these concerts Anderson, sound purely to Tull. I have also seen Martin live, in the Tullianos Convention, the truth is that Martin sounds better next to a tribute band, that in his own band, I don't like their vocalist and I find much at fault the use of the flute, in a nutshell Martin's band does not sound like Tull for me If Martin only plays songs Tull, then it is difficult to match Anderson, and we all know that Martin is not a great composer I hope to see Martin again at the Tullianos convention this next July, I will enjoy watching play Martin for me a guitarist top ten, but I think Martin needs more to Anderson at his side to shine, while Ian has shown that not needs Martin to make a great show. I just hope Martin accepts his new position and do something good with his band, his performances so far have disappointed me, honestly expected more, I think Martin needs best musicians at his side. At the end the audience is the one who always has the last word, and Anderson and his Tull's band, win by a landslide. Certainly not wanna fight only an opinion, Ryan is great, I think Martin would be happy to have him on your side. Long live Tull!P.D. Of course respect all opinions

Yes...TAAB II has needed some rests between plays....and yes, a good listen to War Child or Stormwatch ( not to mention APP or MITG) does remind you that TAAB II gets many of it's points from the 'what a surprise this late in the game' direction....but I still think if I kidnapped you and took you to the concert I'd get a thank you note, not a bloody nose. In the past years I've prefferred the Ian gigs...with impressive setlists and deep catalogue surprises ( March the Mad, Hare recital, Dun Rinhil opener) to the greatest hit/ 40 year this and that tours.....so maybe Ian snaps out of it and realizes his audience is his audience and he can call it Tull and bring back the veterans and still be brave.....time will tell.

See you in Hamilton...where's hamilton? I still want to go to Saskatoon. Oh, good choice. Saskatoon is actually a nice little prairie town. It's 1000 miles from anywhere else, which makes for one really nice drive through the world of wheat fields in early fall. To see a prairie combine in the fields at night is to know true terror.

Do not even want to think of how cold it gets there all exposed in the arctic prairie.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 16 at 10 am. Members get the best seats first! Join by March 6 to take advantage of show Presales. Join today! Best known as the front man of boundary-breaking British rock group Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson is a champion flute player (known for his flamingo-like, one-legged stance while playing), who has graced the cover of Time and Rolling Stone. In 1972 Jethro Tull released Thick as a Brick, a concept album for which a fictitious 10-year-old poet, Gerald Bostock, “composed” the lyrics. Thick as a Brick 2: Whatever Happened to Gerald Bostock? (2012), revisits the fictional character and examines his life as a 50 year old. In the live performance, which features multimedia videos and humorous commentary, Anderson performs the original, 45-minute Thick as a Brick and its follow-up back- to-back. “Thick as a Brick 2 has a definite Jethro Tull feel to it, but there’s more to it. That more is the musical genius of Ian Anderson and even more of his incredible flute…The music is magical, and the whole thing works together to create a spectacular treat for the ears, as well as the eyes.”—Carla Ives, Examiner.com

Is Vienna VA a DC burb or deeper in and closer to NC? It's closer to Fairfax, Virginia. Not a bad place to see a great show. That's where Tony Snow saw Tull before passing. www.j-tull.com/news/tonysnow.html

Upper class area, right? I remember many years ago driving in reston VA and saw an interesting, angular, arcitectually unique, modern looking building with multi-tone wood and all that...figured it was a museum or gallery till I got close enough to see the discreet 'Burger King' logo.

OK, where's the Los Angeles area show already? I horribly had to miss out on the Long Beach show, can't and won't let it happen again! I'd hate to even think about going to Vegas in July, might as well just light myself on fire it'd have the same effect!

Lands End.....Plenty of time and space for them to include Southern CA...unless they don't since they played 4 last year...think about SF...the venue is amazing and it beats the hell out of vegas. If you buy SF tix and then get a closer gig you can count on me to vend the SF tix at no loss to you.

With work commitments and, well, a family that I'd like to remain on speaking terms with up and heading to SF for a concert isn't an option anymore! When I was younger hell, I'd drive up to places like Fresno to see a show and then head back home, nevermind those closer shows like San Diego. I'd pulled disappearing acts up to SF to see The Grateful Dead for a few days a couple of times there, and figured Oregon and Washington weren't such silly ideas since I'd already come so far. But I'm older, wiser(?), and generally much more boring now.
