But I still don't know how Man-Dookie gets Ian quality helpers on his K-tel quality productions. Neither do I Bernie. He either has the gift of the gab or he's very good on the hospitalty front.

That's the only Ronco LP I've got (I think) although one or two Telstar offerings may be around somewhere. As for cleaning vinyl, I got through copious amounts of those record cleaning cloths as sold by EMI, and others, the advert for Emitex always being on the back of EMI single sleeves.

I used those EMI cleaning cloths too but this was always my favourite record cleaner.

Wonder why they used LITP instead of Tull's live contributions to Prince's Trust: Pussy Willow and some other song (Jack in the Green?) with Phil Collins sitting in the momentarily vacant drum seat. Woulda sold more copies as more Tull fans would buy a couple live cuts with notable guest drummer ( and general dork) that another LITP...surely record company/contract type stuff. No one is coming up with any reasons for man-dookie's rolodex...I need to know, dammit.

Loved all those early samplers I had Nice Enough to Eat, Bumpers, El Pea, All Good Clean Fun which was another label I love the song Thru the Night on the El Pea album, the vocal is brilliant, and I read somewhere it was Robert Palmer.... It could well be..... I have the Tull Tales album, it's OK, I quite like the version of Cry You a Song, but don't like when Hughes does his screaming ..... I remember All Good Clean Fun. Two others which were released here in the UK by CBS were the Rock Machine samplers. No Tull involvement but a wonderful introduction to artists that one may not have heard of, or listened to, so they were a great way of extending your musical knowledge. Side 1 1."I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" - Bob Dylan - from the LP John Wesley Harding 2."Can't Be So Bad" - Moby Grape - from the LP Wow 3."Fresh Garbage" - Spirit - from the LP Spirit 4."I Won't Leave My Wooden Wife For You, Sugar" - The United States of America - from the LP The United States of America 5."Time of the Season" - The Zombies – from the LP Odessey and Oracle 6."Turn On A Friend" – The Peanut Butter Conspiracy – from the LP The Great Conspiracy 7."Sisters of Mercy" – Leonard Cohen – from the LP The Songs of Leonard Cohen Side 2 1."My Days Are Numbered" – Blood, Sweat and Tears – from the LP Child Is Father to the Man 2."Dolphins Smile" – The Byrds – from the LP The Notorious Byrd Brothers 3."Scarborough Fair / Canticle" – Simon and Garfunkel – from the LP Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme 4."Statesboro Blues" – Taj Mahal – from the LP Taj Mahal 5."Killing Floor" – The Electric Flag – from the LP A Long Time Comin' 6."Nobody’s Got Any Money In The Summer" – Roy Harper – from the LP Come Out Fighting Ghengis Smith 7."Come Away Melinda" – Tim Rose – from the LP Tim Rose 8."Flames" – Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera – from the LP Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera Side 1 1."More and More" - Blood, Sweat & Tears - from the LP Blood Sweat & Tears 2."Stoned Soul Picnic" - Laura Nyro - from the LP Eli and the Thirteenth Confession 3."Stop" - Mike Bloomfield & Al Kooper - from the LP Super Session 4."You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" - The Byrds - from the LP Sweetheart of the Rodeo 5."Somebody to Love" - Grace Slick and The Great Society - from the LP Conspicuous Only in its Absence 6."Brandenburg Concerto No 3 in G Major", 2nd movement - from the LP Switched-On Bach 7."Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye" - Leonard Cohen - from the LP The Songs of Leonard Cohen Side 2 1."America" - Simon & Garfunkel - from the LP Bookends 2."My Name is Jack" - John Simon - from the Original Soundtrack recording You Are What You Eat 3."See To Your Neighbour" - The Electric Flag - from the LP The Electric Flag 4."The Tihai", excerpt - Don Ellis and his Orchestra - from the LP Shock Treatment 5."Turtle Blues" - Big Brother and the Holding Company - from the LP Cheap Thrills (listed on the cover/record as "Ball and Chain") 6."Time" - Dino Valente - from the LP Dino Valente 7."Ain't That a Lot of Love" - Taj Mahal - from the LP The Natch'l Blues They cost around 14 shillings in 1968/9 (75p in new money) and were worth every shilling.

The Best Christmas Album In The World Ever2000 I think this was the second version of this compilation - the first had a Gary Glitter song on it which was replaced by possibly the Beach Boys offering. Some good music on this compilation but also some absolute dross. Could almost have been retitled "The Best Cliff Richard Christmas Album In The World Ever".

Funny release....why volume 3....as if to follow on the M.U.'s? But no...some tracks already on MU and Repeat. I've always been puzzled by "volume 3" myself. Never found out exactly why it was called this. Maybe one of the European Chrysalis offices not knowing what the others were doing perhaps ? Who knows
