Wake up here's a post and a pound well spent .. Mind you there's a guy on Ebay who sell's my ticket as a fridge magnet! Is it true this show was cancelled even though it was sold out? Apparently so. This is what www.ministry-of-information.co.uk/ has to say: 28/4/73 Empire Pool, Wembley London, UK Support: Robin Trower. Was to have been the live premiere of 'A Passion Play', but was cancelled, despite being a sold-out show.
29/4/73 Empire Pool, Wembley London, UK Support: Robin Trower. Also cancelled.
Then later that year 22/6/73 Empire Pool Wembley, London, UK Support: Robin Trower. Replacing the cancelled April shows. These shows were the ones savaged by the UK critics, which coloured all subsequent reviews of Tull.
23/6/73 Empire Pool Wembley, London, UK Support: Robin Trower.Amended ticket courtesy of www.electrocutas.co.uk/

I need some help identifying if this show actually happened. From doing some research I would say that the date is 7/5/1970. Now there are a few things that don't add up with that, 1- July 4,1970 in Asbury Park there were riots asburparkmark.blogspot.com/2010/06/asbury-park-riots-of-july-1970.html. I can't imagine Tull playing the next night. Mind you Tull played 7/4/1970 Middle Georgia Raceway Byron, Ga. USA . It would be odd for them to go to NJ the next night. Now the date could be 7/12/1970 but if you look close at the ticket the edge is squared and thick that would not go with the rest of the font. But the 12th makes more sense because I could see them adding a NJ date in between MA and MD. 7/11/70 Tea Party Boston, Ma. USA 7/13/70 Shady Grove Music Fair Gaithersburg, Md. USA. Dates courtesy of www.ministry-of-information.co.uk/setlist/70b.htm. If anyone can shed any light on this show it would be great.

Wow! This must be the David Palmer Symphonic Rock Tour!!!! I was never able to get to this concert so I don't know anything about what music was played. Somewhere I have the programme for the event (I think it's survived) which I did post somewhere here but I'll post it again when I find it.
