Just to clarify - I didn't injure myself on hols, well I did but not my shoulder! - I've had a dodgy shoulder for a year or so - to much cricket over the years - this is the boring bit......
an operation to widen the subacromial space in your shoulder, so the rotator cuff tendon is no longer rubbing against the bone above. This is known as subacromial decompression.
Got to go just spotted a pigeon flying over Berlin Zoo.
Anyway three weeks to the Opera
Cheers

Cheers my dear Welsh friend and get well soon.

this is what p**sed me off this week, actually this is a daily aggravation.....so I do a lot of driving in the morning, dropping my daughter off a half hour away, driving another half hour to work, sometimes I am driving an hour and a half to finally get to work. So anyway, everything goes fine if everyone does the speed limit. Recently, I've been having a PT Cruiser pull right out in front of me, pretty much on a daily basis, she insists on doing 15 miles under the speed limit and I have nowhere to safely pass her. Some days she is just moseying down the road, doing everything but driving, has her interior lights on, you can see her bending down, swerving all over the place. She ruins my week/day. Even my 4 year old says....there she is again Momma....yes, there she is, again...Live life dangerously- do the speed limit...ahh, thanks for letting me complain, feel better now

ok, one more thing to make me angry. I had my daughter's pics taken over the weekend, the photographer sent me the pics online.... I can't open a single one. It's highly irritating. What happened to the days of having a picture in a frame? grrrr

“Our band is called either Maniac Dog Turd or 16-Bit Psycho Cops, depending on the day of the week, and our dream is to live in a party squat full of overflowing ashtrays.”
In general this could be any band that starts out just wanting to pick up chicks... but ashtrays?

Dug the Christmas tree lights out 2 days ago and a whole section of about 150 lights don't work so I've spent the last 2 days taking bulbs out and putting new ones in, twisting them and shaking the wires and the damn lights still don't work so in the true Christmas spirit I've just put the ones that work on the tree and the rest are stuffed underneath the tree. Ho Ho Ho!

Me too.....about 33% of the lights good for $h1t so craftily hidden on back side of bushes facing street. Yes, they are Jewish Xmas lights ( heavy on the Silver and Blue for Israeli flag but with some multi-color concession to the gentiles.)

Dodgy Lights. You get a small piece of tin foil screw it up and put it in the hole* - gives a connection so the rest will work.
*Please do not try this at home, other options are available.

TwoTurtleDucks Ah yes, reminds me of taking the foil paper out of a fag packet and wrapping it round a blown fuse to keep the telly on. I bet you used to do the same as me and put matchsticks in the socket to keep the wires in when there wasn't a plug available. 'Tis the season for Elf and safety.

Newcastle United are relegated. John - I won't "like" your post as even though I don't support Newcastle I always feel sorry for footie fans whose team is relegated. Don't worry - they're too big a club to stay in the Championship.
