Oh my goodness: Goodness me don't they look strange with their make up free face yet over the top hair. I blame Helen Shapiro for starting "over the top hair".

We use to call them ker-bangers, and we use to use them as weapons. I think that's why you don't see them any more.

I was going to have a rest from this thread but as our dear nonrabbit posted some more, here's another one. Just another brief nod to what I consider the greatest ongoing thread in Tull internet history. And this from someone who would probably enjoy re reading entire threads dating to when TAAB2 was first announced up til now as much as either of the recent Tull books. That net experience of course always apexing with Bernie's moment in the intersection. btw i think a missed opportunity when we had his holiness in here for a q and a to not include in our allotment of question time that one statement of simple fact beginning when Bernie was in the checkout line.

Keith Tippett - never heard of him however he has a weird album cover. Jeeeeez - I've got this album somewhere. It was issued on the highly collectable Vertigo label in 1971 here in the UK and I must have played it at least . . . twice ? His other half is Julie Driscoll of "This Wheel's On Fire" fame. Time for a youtube or two. TheRackitts - Published on 4 Nov 2012 And live on TOTP vinylsolution - Uploaded on 3 Oct 2008

New category ...1970's,Man at C&A looking for a night of lurve. Jeez, would somebody please touch the freaking guy and get this nightmare over with? I am increasingly embarrassed, in a sartorial sense, of the period I grew up in though I can take some small credit with being the second in our massive high school crowd to eschew flared or bell bottom TROOSERS. I can take some small solace in all the generations that have followed being equally bad...or worse. Even the Tull get ups of the period, some excepted, offer me embarrassment when being viewed now. And I believe it has alot to do with the dis respect Ian Anderson is met with, people think of those outfits before they look at the substance....and importantly did not see those outfits close in life performance. (btw John Evans ice cream suit and general temperament totally excepted)None was a bigger player in the turnabout of public perception however than the Passion Play record. While I believe it has much to redeem it, it is wildly over rated in Tull world, much as it is wildly under valued elsewhere. Its somewhere in the middle. And all those people finding fault with it back then were not entirely wrong, Anderson, you were a bit drunk with your own importance is the bottom line.

But I bet it's got young master Bunkerfan searching through the trunk in his attic to see if he's still got the flares and the wide lapel jacket. And as for Patti, she's more than likely digging out the Alma Cogan frock as I type.

[/quote] Ray you could almost forgive the clothes it's the fact that one's asking to be touched and the other one's standing next to a seedy brass bed saying he'll interfere with your sleeping pattern.
The people that designed these album covers were serious and deserve much praise!.....now.
