Pretty certain I posted this here a year ago when I became aware of it. Apparently became an enormous internet fad, a rare one which I totally support. However if you have not seen this, I would mark it as quite deliciously and playfully odd, I believe dating to Soviet television of the mid to late sixties. And apparently some sort of versions have gotten as far as The Family Guy, so its pretty well known. Even have checked out a couple of interviews with this gentleman,Eduard Khil was his name, including a message for world peace, seemed a very dear man, passed away in St Petersburg Russia today at 76. youtu.be/2Z4m4lnjxkY

And OMG, while I'm busy shirking responsibility, and while IA is game in recent years for playing with others, how much would I have dug IA doing a duet on Trololo. I know he would have found and enhanced any useful melody, would have found something from a Rimsky Korsakov angle too, and would have out weirded the Trololo man, with side value of temporarily resurrecting Ian's popularity to an area I would rather not revisit. Plus it seems the Russians really like Ian. Gorbachev would have got a chortle out of such an arrangement I am pretty sure. Would have worked better up til about 93, as I know Ian would want to get physical with that piece.
