The TAAB2 lyrics thread reminded me of a question I always wanted to ask you native English speaking people out there: Did anybody understand the spoken words in TAAB1 side two in the "Cats are in the upgrade"part? There's a lot more than just "Cats are in the upgrade". Who can help me? Thank you! 10cars

We will be geared to the average rather than the exceptional / God is an overwhelming re- sponsibility / we walked through the maternity ward and saw 218 babies wearing nylons / cats are on the upgrade / upgrade? Hipgrave. Oh, Mac.Only that Hipgrave was a school friend of lan Anderson's and Jeffrey Hammond's and that Mac was Jethro Tull's sound engineer at the time of Thick As A Brick (Sourced from Schramm and Burns' lyric book)

Thank you, Maddog! Yeah, I know, this is written in the lyric book (Hipgrave. Oh, Mac.). But when I listen to it, I hear something else...but what? What do you hear, you Englishmen and - women out there?

Stop that clown. Oh, Mac." Listen closely to what you hear Ryan say on the TAAB Live in Iceland recording. I believe that's what he's saying.
